Luffy finally reaches the rooftop in episode 1049, titled “Luffy Soars! Revenge Against the King of the Beasts!”
Just like the previous episode, this episode ended with some sickly animated fight sequences. Luffy made a grand entry on the roof as Momonosuke could finally fly.
The whole episode focused on Yamato and Kaido’s fight. Yamato refused to die and managed to pack some punches. Still, she was not able to overpower him for long.

Episode 1050 Speculations
Kaido will take his dragon form to face Momonosuke in episode 1050, titled “Two Dragons Face Off! Momonosuke’s Determination!”
It is time for the real fight to begin. Luffy is now on the roof, and it’s only time till we finally get to see gear five animated. Luffy will have to fight Kaido’s dragon form. Let’s see what Momo will try to do.
The episode will also focus on the nine scabbards as they fight their own battles for the sake of their land. I am really hyped for the next episode.

Episode 1049 Recap
Luffy wants Momo to fly high, but Momo cannot do so. Luffy continuously pushes Momo to fly, but Momo cannot raise even his head. Kaido and Yamato continue their fierce fight.
After a heavy showdown, Yamato manages to make Kaido bleed. She refuses to die until Luffy is back. Kaido grows angrier at her as she is fighting him even though she belongs to that land.
She trades equal blows with him. Kaido tells her that none of the samurais consider her to as their ally, and she has no friends. Yamato is reminded of someone from the Beast Pirates who was executed because he gave food to her.

Kaido wants her to rule over humans by force as she is the son of an ogre. He slams her down and repeatedly beats her as if to open her eyes. On the other side, Luffy is still struggling to make Momo fly.
After a long struggle, he manages to make him fly. Momo starts flying towards Onigashima with his eyes closed. Luffy directs him to go to the rooftop, but Momo is not able to understand anything and is about to crash land somewhere else.

On the Performance floor, Zoro and King continue their fight when Momo barges inside the floor suddenly. Everyone starts to panic and get confused, thinking it is Kaido.
Momo goes around all the floors and finally opens his eyes. They reach the rooftop, and Momo rushes toward Kaido. Luffy transforms into fourth gear and launches his attack.
Yamato also unleashes a fierce attack, and both attacks, along with some amazing animation, hit Kaido simultaneously, throwing him far away.

On January 30, the official website for Kadokawa’s Gamera -Rebirth- Project debuted a teaser trailer for the project. The teaser confirms that the project will be an anime consisting of 6 episodes, and focusing on the titular Gamera fighting five Kaiju.
The website also revealed a key visual for the anime, featuring Gyaos, one of the kaiju that Gamera will fight in the anime. The anime will stream worldwide on Netflix.

It was revealed that Kazunori Itou, the writer of the three Heisei era Gamera films, is penning the script for the new anime. The anime will be directed by Shuusuke Kaneko, who directed the Heisei films as well.
The fire-breathing turtle monster Gamera was first introduced to audiences in Daiei’s 1965 film Daikaiju Gamera. The 12th and most recent film in the franchise was Chiisaki Yūsha-tachi ~Gamera~ (Gamera the Brave) in 2006.
