The Devil Is a Part-Timer! Season 2: Release Info, Rumors, Updates

Meet Satan, the Lord of Fries! Yep, you read that right. The Devil Is a Part-Timer! or Hataraku Mou-Sama! is a Spring 2013 comedy anime that concluded its run in June of the same year.

Despite the show being hilarious, the finale of Season 1 was quite anti-climactic. It seemed like an abrupt stop to the story rather than a proper conclusion. Hence, fans have been waiting to continue the story of Satan and his Mg Ronald’s job in Season 2.

After Satan’s humiliating defeat in the conquest of Ente Isla, he is forced to retreat through a dimensional portal to modern-day Tokyo. Shirou, his loyal commander, also finds himself with Satan in the modern landscape. Completely clueless and without any demonic powers, the duo works hard to make ends meet.

Under the guise of Sadao Mou, Satan starts working as a part-timer at Mg Ronald’s, hoping to climb the corporate ladder and dominate earth itself! If you’re looking for a no-brainer comedy, check out The Devil Is a Part-Timer!

3. About The Devil Is a Part-Timer!

The Devil Is a Part-Timer! is a Japanese light novel series written by Satoshi Wagahara, with illustrations by Oniku (written as 029). ASCII Media Works has published the series in Japan, while Yen Press has published the series in North America.

The story revolves around the Demon Lord Satan after he is stuck in the human world. Satan loses against the hero Emilia in his homeworld Ente Isla. He then takes one of his subordinates – Alciel and transports himself to the human world, where he is left powerless due to the lack of magic.

Both Satan and Alciel take human forms, and Satan takes up a part-time job at a fast-food restaurant to earn a living. Things get even more complicated once Emilia arrives under the guise of a human named Emi Yusa. This light-hearted comedy explores the interactions of “evil” and “good.”
