The Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime, or TenSura for short, is an anime based off of a light novel series of the same name. Animated by Eight Bit and directed by Yasuhito Kikuchi, this series has run for one season, airing from October 2018 to March 2019. The anime initially aired on Tokyo MX, but is now available globally on Crunchyroll. Recently, a second season of the show was confirmed by the creators.
TenSura Season 2
@ten_sura_anime, the official Twitter for the anime, tweeted out the confirmation of the anime returning into its season 2 in 2020. The exact date has not yet been released.
The show was an unexpected hit amongst the viewers, as an anime of the isekai genre with a twist. A special OVA is also about to release with the latest volume of the light-novels in December 2019. The OVA was expected to be released earlier in March. However, it was delayed and is finally going to hit the market in December.
About The Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime:
Satoru Mikami, an average 37-year-old office worker from Tokyo with no girlfriend, was asked for marriage advice by his colleague Tamura. After meeting him and his partner Miho on the street, he is stabbed to death by a passing robber. After making some requests during his death, he is reincarnated in another world as a slime with the ability known as a predator. The skill lets him have the power of any creature he devours. Upon making friends with the dragon Veldora, the slime, now known as Rimuru Tempest, embarks on a journey to find a way to free Veldora from his seal, encountering many different races along the way (along with embarking on side quests throughout the story).
