I. Celebrations are Over

The festival was short-lived, and everyone went back to training. However, they trained hard and long before attacking again, and now, the Qin Army is on the move again with their quest to conquer Zhao.

They have been preparing for the battle for a long time, but it seems like it won’t be easy. Riboku himself has taken charge to defeat Qin, and after taking down Kanki, his confidence will be at its peak.

He remembers the time when there were just the two of them. He used to think his hut was bigger, but it turned out to be small. Kyoukai, too, is reminded of her childhood.

He tells her that in the previous battle, Kanki, the immortal, too, got killed after just one defeat. So, he wants to live the present moment to the fullest. He wanted to visit his old house and show it to Kyoukai.

He also expresses the desire to visit and see Kyoukai’s house. He asks her if she will marry him after the unification of China is complete. The question catches her off guard, and she is unable to reply.

She expresses her fear of dying in war. Her fear intensifies after hearing such words, and she is not ready to make a promise as it will weaken him on the battlefield.

Shin is of the opposite thinking and says that this promise will motivate him to keep fighting and give him strength in life-death situations. Suddenly, Yuu and his friends fall out of an adjacent hut.

Kyoukai thanks Shin but tells him that she needs a little time to think it through. Everyone gets back to having fun. Hei’s mom congratulates him and tells him not to die on the battlefield.

The Hishin Unit begins its intense military drill a few days after Bihei’s marriage. They trained through all seasons so that they didn’t face defeat at the hands of Riboku again.

When the 15th year of Sei’s rule came, Qin once again marched forward to conquer Northern Zhao. Their target was Hango, a town west of Gian. Riboku himself moved ahead to face the Qin army.

Along with the Shibashou Army from Seika, he led the Battle of Hango against Qin, the battle where Qin faced its heaviest casualties.
