Everything You Need to Know About Season 3 of One-Punch Man

Seeing Saitama destroy huge monsters, that every hero has struggled with, in a single punch never gets old. Season 2 of One Punch Man ended with him obliterating the Elder Centipede in a single punch, and I’m waiting for the world to realize Saitama’s power in season 3.

At this point, I think they can just dismiss the whole organization of heroes and clone Saitama. Garou, the Hero Hunter, was cornered by Bang and Bomb, but he still managed to escape, and the next episodes will give us more updates on him.

It’s been two years since season 2 aired, and fans have been not-so-patiently waiting for season 3 of One Punch Man. Your wait is finally over because season 3 has just been greenlit.

Release Date

Chapter 215 of One-Punch Man was published this week and contained the announcement of season 3 of One Punch Man.

Seeing as how the third season has just been greenlit, it might get released in 2023. It will likely be listed with 12 episodes again, and Crunchyroll will stream it once it airs.

It was also revealed that One-Punch Man is going through a studio change, and J.C. Staff will not animate season 3. Due to this sudden change of hands, the anime might get slightly more delayed than usual.

Like I said before, Garou is not done yet, and will come back more powerful than ever. An encounter with Saitama is inevitable, and we all know how that battle will end. (If we can even call it a battle.)

One-Punch Man Season 3 Plot

Season 1 and 2 of One-Punch Man adapted around 40 chapters each and season 3 might do the same. Season 2 ended after adapting chapter 84 and 85 of the manga, thus episode 1 of season 3 will cover the events of chapter 86 onwards of the Monsters Association Arc.

Monsters Association is a huge arc which cannot be covered in a single season. In season 3, the Heroes Organization is going to take Garou a bit more seriously, and the most-sought after hero, Blast, is expected to make an appearance.

Garou will be tasked with bringing the head of a hero to prove his worth, but he unfortunately chooses Saitama as his target.

About One Punch Man

One-Punch Man is a Japanese superhero webcomic created by the artist One in early 2009. It has a manga adaptation illustrated by Yusuke Murata, as well as an anime adaptation. Following its publication, the webcomic quickly went viral, surpassing 7.9 million hits in June 2012.

On an unnamed Earth-like supercontinent planet, powerful monsters and villains have been wreaking havoc in the cities. To combat them, the world’s government created a Hero Association that employs superheroes to stop them. The heroes are ranked from Class C to Class S.

Saitama, an unassociated hero, hails from the metropolis of City-Z and performs heroic deeds for his own entertainment. He has trained himself to the point where he broke his “limit” and can effortlessly defeat any opponent with a single punch while slaying monsters the same way. But he is now bored with his omnipotence and frustrated by sensing he lacks a challenge.
