Midoriya wields the powerful quirk One For All, but he still has girl problems. He’s fought Himiko sometimes in the past, but since she’s never told Midoriya how she feels about him, he never found out.
He was always a nerd, so to him, it seemed pretty impossible that Himiko would feel this way about him. He asks her if she really just said the word “boyfriend.”
She tells him she has loved him since the first time she saw him. He was covered in blood and looked cool, just like her first crush. She wants to become Midoriya because she’s so obsessed.
So she asks for some blood, but Midoriya is still hung up on the boyfriend bit. Himiko explains that for her, turning into someone is all about love. It’s the only way she can be satisfied.
Himiko asks what Midoriya will do to her, and he says he doesn’t know. Midoriya is only focusing on not losing her and giving her an advantage. Midoriya tells her he was also obsessed with becoming like All Might, but he never wanted to have the same mind or heart like him.
He tells Himiko that he would never hurt someone he loved. Memories of Himiko flood Midoriya and Uraraka’s minds, where she looks incredibly sad. Himiko tells Midoriya that he’s just like Uraraka and her parents.
Himiko is over her crush, and she knows they can’t be together. The world rejected her, so she rejected the world. She thought at least Uraraka would understand her since they both fell for the same person.
