Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Manga on Hiatus! Returns in September

With the effect of Omnipotence taking place, things have gone way more desperate for Boruto Uzumaki. With only a handful of allies left, the rest of the Hidden Leaf Ninjas are looking for him. Neither Code nor Kawaki is planning to leave him alive.

While Sasuke still looks at Boruto as an enemy, he decides to help. Boruto’s suffering has humbled him and made him more empathetic, but he must become stronger not to let things escalate further and bring Kawaki back to his senses. Unfortunately, we gotta wait a bit for that.

On Friday, the June issue of Shueisha’s V Jump magazine revealed that Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga would go on a break. It will return in September and begin a new story arc.

The news was also shared on the Viz Media website and app at the end of the latest chapter, Chapter 80: What Dad Would Do!

Although Boruto has been in serialization since May 2016, the manga moved from Weekly Shonen Jump to V Jump in July 2019.

This is one of those key moments that turn everything around – just like The Leaf Destruction and Sasuke’s defection. Momoshiki’s upset attitude tells us that something is still possible despite things being irreversible. Sounds like a ‘Shippuden’ moment to us.
