It’s nothing surprising about former employees coming back for a revenge arc from their employment place or pressing legal charges and the police getting involved. After all, it is still a legit company, and people are always going to have some issues.

Recently, the Musashino Police Department in Tokyo arrested a 25-year-old woman from Ōsaki city in Miyagi prefecture on the charges of forcible destruction of business against Wit Studio.

The woman sent a threatening and gruesome email to the studio on May 7th, 2021, which stated, ‘I will set fire to the head office in a week.’

The arrest was reportedly made on Wednesday, and the woman admitted to the charges. The 25-year-old is being suspected of any mental illness or if she has sent threatening emails and faxes to the company in the past as well.

The studio has taken precautionary measures to protect the building and the employees and strengthened the security. This resulted in some issues and obstruction in the daily work.

Ever since the Kyoto Animation Studio (KyoAni) fire incident in May 2019, which resulted in 36 deaths and 33 injured people, cases and threats like these have been at an all-time high.

It is usually some former employee having a grudge against a studio or the people associated with it that forces them to do this stuff.

No one deserves this, and it is heartbreaking that so many people have to pay the price for it.

The Kyoto arson incident gave rise to many such incidents. Even though these are just threats, they can still affect the people working there mentally.

The employees cannot focus on work knowing that they can get injured or lose their lives there, and their families will be constantly worried for them as well.

It really is a terrible reality, and all we can do is hope and pray that these threats don’t become a reality.
