The Afterparty Cast & Character Guide: Recurring and new cast members

The second season of The Afterparty picks up two years after the first season’s events. Aniq, Zoe, and Detective Danner are back to investigate another murder, this time at the wedding of Zoe’s sister, Grace.

The groom, Edgar, is found dead in his hotel room the morning after the wedding. Detective Danner suspects that one of the guests is the killer, and she sets out to interview them all.

Each episode of the second season is told from the perspective of a different guest at the wedding, and each episode is presented in a distinct cinematic style. The styles include a Bollywood musical, a noir thriller, and a ’90s rom-com.

The second season also features several celebrity cameos, including John Cho, John Early, and Stephanie Hsu.

Detective Danner is back to investigate another murder, this time at the wedding of Zoe’s sister, Grace. Danner is as challenging and determined as ever and won’t let anyone get in her way.

2. Aniq (Sam Richardson)

Aniq is back, and he’s still trying to clear his name in Xavier’s murder. He’s also trying to help Zoe solve the mystery of Edgar’s murder and is determined to find the natural killer.

3. Zoe (Zoë Chao)

Zoe is still grieving the loss of her brother-in-law, and she’s determined to find out who killed him. She’s not afraid to get her hands dirty and will do whatever it takes to bring the killer to justice.

4. Grace (Poppy Liu)

Grace is Zoe’s sister, and she’s the bride-to-be. She’s excited to get married, but she’s also worried about the fact that someone might try to kill her on her wedding day.

5. Edgar (Zach Woods)

Edgar is Zoe’s brother-in-law, and he’s the groom. He’s a successful businessman but also a bit of a jerk. He has a lot of enemies, and he may have made one too many enemies on the night of his murder.

6. Feng (Ken Jeong)

Feng is Grace’s father, and he’s a wealthy businessman. He’s not afraid to use his money and power to get what he wants. He may have had something to do with Edgar’s murder.

7. Vivian (Vivian Wu)

Vivian is Grace’s mother, a kind and gentle woman. She’s not afraid to stand up for her beliefs, even if it means going against her husband. She may have seen something that she’s not telling the police.

8. Ulysses (John Cho)

Harold and Kumar film series star John Cho plays the “fun uncle” Ulysses. Cho is best known for his work in Columbus and the Star Trek film series.

He became the “first Asian American actor in history to headline a mainstream thriller film in Hollywood” by playing the lead role in 2018’s Searching. Also, he appeared in the series Sleepy Hollow, Cowboy Bebop, and Selfie, among others.

9. Isabel (Elizabeth Perkins)

Isabel is Edgar’s ex-wife, and she’s still bitter about their divorce. She may have had something to do with Edgar’s murder.

10. Travis (Paul Walter Hauser)

Travis is a security guard at the wedding, and he’s seen a lot of things that he’s not telling the police. He may know who killed Edgar.

11. Sebastian (Jack Whitehall)

Sebastian is a guest at the wedding and a bit of a player. He’s been involved with many women and may have had something to do with Edgar’s murder.

12. Hannah (Anna Konkle)

Hannah is a guest at the wedding and a bit of a loner. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, and she’s not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. She may have seen something that she’s not telling the police.

The Afterparty Season 2 is just as hilarious and suspenseful as the first season, and the cast is excellent. If you’re a fan of murder mysteries or comedies, then you’ll want to check out The Afterparty Season 2.
