We are now just three episodes away from watching the curtain fall on Ash Ketchum’s journey. So many adventures and encounters in his path gave us a vivid look at the world of pokémon. And we would still experience more, even with Ash bidding us farewell.
As previously announced, the new Pokémon series will keep us going with Liko and Roy beginning their journey as pokémon trainers.
On Friday, The Pokémon Company revealed more details with a trailer. The trailer reveals the cast members, the production staff, and a new visual. Liko and Roy’s journey begins on April 14 with a one-hour special episode.
The trailer opens by showing the new protagonists, Liko and Roy, with the three starter pokémon Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. It first introduces the four characters, the other two being Friede and Captain Pikachu. Then it teases a few scenes from the anime.
In one scene, Friede can be seen riding a Charizard, suggesting it might be one of his Pokémon.
The voice artists who will be playing these characters have been revealed:

Ōtani has previously voiced Ash’s Pikachu in Pokémon, with Terasaki working in previous installments since Pokémon XY. However, this is the first time Terasaki is voicing a main character in the franchise.
OLM will continue to be the main production studio, with Saori Den as the director. Dai Sato is handling the scripts. Rei Yamazaki will design the characters, and Conisch is producing the background music.
For those who have followed the anime for so long, it might not feel as exciting as you watched Pokémon for the first time. But there is still some chance of surprise, given we have a traveling professor this time.
About Pokemon Horizons: The Series
Pokemon Horizons: The Series is a new project in the Pokemon Franchise that features a whole new story after the conclusion of the journey of the previous protagonist, Ash Ketchum. The anime will adapt elements from the game Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.
Liko from the Paldea region and Roy from the Kanto region join the Rising Volt Tacklers led by Friede and Captain Pikachu. They are joined by Orla, Mollie, Murdock, and Ludlow. Together, they explore the world in an airship.
On their way, they will encounter a trio called the Explorers with Amethio, Zir, and Conia as its members, and Nidothing, a popular streamer.
