Under Ninja’s First Teaser Video Out! Features Motion Manga Footage

Ninja and Samurai have been among the most inspiring topics for manga and anime in some or the other way. It could be the entire plot, or simply a character in the anime.

These warriors have been an important part of Japanese history. Several franchises like Naruto, Gintama, Demon Slayer, and even Black Clover contain elements that share a similarity with them. Yet, we love the action, the tactics, and the rush. We always will.

Under Ninja, the manga by Kenzo Hanazawa released a teaser video for the series on Saturday on its Twitter account. The anime was previously announced in September this year.

There is no actual anime footage. Instead, it shows manga pages in a motion comic format. However, the video does confirm a 2023 release in the end. It also gives a feel of what we can expect in terms of character designs.

Under Ninja is being published by Kodansha in its Young Magazine since 2018. Denpa publishes the manga in English. As of now, eight volumes have been released, with the ninth to release on January 6, 2023.

The story and the designs are intriguing, reminiscent of Sakamoto Days a bit. But it all comes down to sharp and smooth animation. As of now, no cast or staff has been announced but we hope that to be top-notch for a series like this one.
