Often in isekai stories, if there are heavenly beings or gods involved, they are quite helpful and supportive. ‘Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- ‘, however, starts with the biggest betrayal, where the Goddess reneges on her deal and banishes Makoto to the wasteland full of monsters and other species.
The first season showed Makoto’s incredible growth despite not being a hero that the Goddess felt threatened with. It was well-appreciated by everyone, and a second season was announced right after the finale.
On Thursday, the official website for ‘Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- ‘revealed a new teaser and visual for the second anime season. The trailer reveals a major change in staff and the release window of January 2024. Season 2 will run for two cours, unlike the first season, which ran for 12 episodes.
The video begins with Makoto and his life at the shop. It then confirms four voice artists that will return for the new season. We also get to see Makoto rescuing two people from a castle and using his fire spell at the end of the video.

The main cast and staff are quite impressive, having worked for some of the most popular shonen anime. As for J.C. Staff, it is already working on projects like ‘Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts’ and ‘Reign of the Seven Spellblades’. Overall, things look great for season 2, so you got to watch once it arrives.

Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy is a Japanese fantasy light novel series written by Kei Azumi and illustrated by Mitsuaki Matsumoto.
It began serialization online in 2012 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. An anime television series premiered in July 2021.
The fantasy centers around Makoto Misumi, an ordinary high school boy summoned to an alternate world as a brave warrior. Unfortunately, the goddess of the world banished him to the outermost fringes of the wilderness.
While wandering the wilderness, Makoto encountered dragons, spiders, orcs, dwarves, and all sorts of other non-human species.
Due to differences in the environment from his home world, Makoto now exhibits extraordinary powers in magic and combat.
The curtain rises on the alternate-world social reform fantasy of a boy forsaken by gods and humans.
