Top 9 Most Anticipated Moments in My Hero Academia Season 6

Season 5 of My Hero Academia was the first season to adapt a manga story arc out of order, going with the 17th arc – the Endeavor Agency arc, before the 16th one, which was the Meta Liberation Army arc.

But MHA season 6 is all set to adapt arc 18, the Paranormal Liberation War arc, the final arc of the Rise of Villains saga, which is popular among manga fans for its amazing battle sequences.

After the cliffhanger of season 5, season 6 will explore the much-awaited war between the Hero Association and the Liberation Front.

Due to the vastness and complexities of this arc, season 6 will most likely only cover this single arc, delving into all the nitty-gritties of the dark and brutal fight between Shigaraki and Deku, the character development of multiple U.A. students, and the backstory of more than one villain.

In this article, I’ll discuss the top moments from the manga to look forward to in season 6.

SPOILERS AHEAD! This page contains spoilers from My Hero Academia .

1. Mirko’s Sacrifice

Mirko vs. the High-Ends has got people really hype after watching the MHA season 6 trailer. She fights multiple High-Ends at the same time, and ends up losing an arm during the war.

She simply wraps her arm with her hair and continues crushing the Nomus.

To save Endeavor, Mirko uses her Ultimate Move, which damages the capsule that carried Shigaraki to stop him from awakening from his slumber. Although Shigaraki awakens anyway, it’s Mirko’s spirit, fight, and sacrifice that counts.

Mirko is almost fatally injured. She has to get a prosthetic arm and leg, but despite this, she resolves to continue fighting.

2. Hawks vs. Twice

Ever since Keigo Takami aka Wing Hero Hawks infiltrated the League of Villains to play double-agent, the intrigue has only been escalating.

His complex relationship with the villain Jin Bubaigawara aka Twice revealed the deep emotions that both these characters have been hiding.

Hawks began to realize that Twice, despite being a villain, had a kind heart, and Twice revealed that he explicitly trusted Hawks, stating that he couldn’t be the “bad” guy.

Despite considering Twice a friend, Hawks’s allegiance still remains with the heroes, and in season 6, we can expect to see a highly emotional battle between these two frenemies.

Hopefully, the battle is as heart-breaking and tragic as it was in the manga, making us question what it means to be a hero and whether being a villain is all that bad.

3. Shigaraki’s Flashback and Awakening

At the end of the Meta Liberation Army arc Shigaraki enters an induced coma with the help of Dr. Ujiko to evolve his quirk to the degree that it will become more powerful than even the One for All.

Shigaraki goes through the grueling and gruesome procedure; despite the warped hallucinations of his family, Shigaraki blows through them all, emerging way stronger and scarier than ever.

The manga portrayal of his fall into darkness is biting and there is a lot they can do with the scene in the anime.

Shigaraki shedding his humanity within his mind and then awakening from his slumber to disintegrate the heroes before him, is a powerful moment in MHA that the whole fandom is aching to see.

4. Shigaraki’s Speech to the Heroes

After Shigaraki awakens in chapter 270, he fights Endeavor and Deku, attempting to steal the One for All.

There is a series of events that happens that I won’t go into, after which Shigaraki is taken down by Bakugo, Deku, and Endeavor together.

He is also mauled by memories of his father, of how he had once said that heroes would hurt their own families to help total strangers.

This is when he makes a poignant speech about the jaded circle of heroes and villains, the system where society destroyed him and how now he wished to destroy society

5. The Secret of the One for All

We know that All Might has been researching the One for All, and in season 6 he will complete it. He confirms that All for One had fought all of the inheritors of the One for All.

During the fight with Shigaraki, Bakugo remembers the talks he had with Midoriya and All Might about the fact that All for One created the One for All. He comes to believe that it might be some kind of cursed power.

When Shigaraki finally manages to touch Deku to grab the One for All, they are sucked into his mind. This is when All for One emerges, and takes over Shigaraki.

All For One reveals that he could feel the consciousness of the people he stole quirks from in his dreams, and that is how the previous successors of One for All have been able to stay alive within the quirk as spirits.

Midoriya can freely communicate with the predecessors of One for All within the vestige world and they realize that One for All is too powerful for someone who already possesses a quirk to handle, which is why Midoriya might be the last successor of the One for All

News about the One for All begins to spread. Season 6 is finally when class 1-A finds out the secret of One for All.

6. Deku Unlocks a New Quirk

In season 6, Deku will unlock Nana Shimura’s Quirk, Float, for the first time.

In the manga, he uses it in conjunction with Blackwhip to rescue the heroes from Shigaraki. attacks.

Season 6 is also when we get to see what fans love calling “feral Deku” where Midoriya literally goes fully wild and unleashes all his offensive moves on Shigaraki.

The gory display of severed limbs and blood that the anime will likely adapt has fans titillated.

7. Bakugo and Deku’s Sacrifice

The new season is where we get to see how beautifully Bakugo and Deku’s characters have reached fruition.

Their rivalry has driven the story of MHA for 5 whole seasons; in the sixth installment, we’ll get to see some endearing scenes between the two, sacrificing themselves and saving each other from All for One/Shikaraki’s attacks.

In one particular scene, Bakugo gets skewered, saving Deku’s life and paying him back for when Deku did the same for him once before.

If season 6 also adapts some of the Tartarus Escapees arc, we’ll get to also see a fantastic scene where Bakugo apologizes to Deku for the first time, even calling him Izuku for the first time.

8. Dabi’s Identity Reveal

Perhaps one of the most anticipated scenes in season 6 is Dabi’s revelation.

Many people believed that Dabi is actually Toya, the eldest Todoroki – and in season 6, we’re proven right.

Dabi is in fact revealed to be Toya Todoroki. In a scene called Dabi’s Dance, Dabi reveals himself to Shoto and Endeavor, taunting his father, telling him that all his life, he has sought to destroy him.

The wholesome Togata has been one of MHA’s most beloved characters, and we’ve been waiting to see him in action since he saved Eri in season 4.

Togata will fight Mr. Compress, Spinner, and the Nomus, trying to protect Best Jeanist and motivating the heroes to keep up the fight against All for one.
