There has been no new update about the production. The NUT studio was relatively new when it released “The Saga of Tanya the Evil,” the studio owners earlier worked at Madhouse studio. They had started NUT studio as an individual venture.
The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the anime industry pretty severely and has lead to delay in many releases, so the planned date to release the second season might get shifted due to the pandemic.

The second season is going to be very interesting. Tanya is expected to fight with Mary Sioux, and Mary had lost her family in the war, that happened because of Tanya’s actions.
So, now this is personal. They have a clash because Tanya is an atheist and does not believe in the existence of God, while Mary is a stronger believer in the Creator. By the end of the season, Tanya will possibly challenge God directly. The season is going to be full of thrill and action.
