In the next episode we will get to see Ru and Will’s relationship grow. Ru has incredible durability and is a very good craftsman, and now, with Will’s help, he may become a great warrior too.
Also, in Will’s discussion with Grendir, it seems like he is exploring the Iron Mountains and what exactly happened there that led everyone to flee from them and take refuge in the village just to die.
Things are starting to get exciting as Ru will join Will in his journey to make town people feel safe and fulfill his duty to the goddess.
3. Episode 3 Recap
Episode 3 of The Faraway Paladin: The Lord of the Rust Mountains starts with a flashback of little Will. In the flashback, we see Gus teaching about the spirits and how the dwarfs and elves were born.
Furthermore, Gus tells him that dwarfs are one of the most superior warriors. Will, being excited, asks blood about them. Blood tells him that the dwarfs who have fought him are some of the best warriors he has seen.
Later on in the present, we see Will visiting the dwarfs, and there he meets with their representative, Grendir. Grendir tells him that the reason they are staying in the village is because they just want to die.
It is later revealed that Grendir is from the Iron Mountains. We see the flashback of the war between the demons and the last iron king, which led some of them to flee and others to die during the battle.
Grendir breaks down crying in front of Will as he promises Grendir that he will do everything in his power to send him and others to their actual home and to respect their king’s wishes.
Later on, we see Will walking back, where he meets Ru, a dwarf who has arrived recently. Later on, we see that Ru has very low confidence but Will assures him that he will help him train.
The episode ends with Ru and Will becoming friends, and Will tells him that he is looking forward to working with him.
