After killing around 6000 soldiers, Rimuru acquires a unique skill, Merciless, in which if one loses the will to fight, they will die instantly.

As the rest of the army of Falmuth had already given up on fighting, through the use of “Merciless,” Rimuru harvests the soul of all of the remaining soldiers and fulfills the requirement for evolution to a Demon Lord.

However, since Edomalis and Reyheim were excluded as targets, Rimuru captures them alive and takes them as war prisoners.

With the trial of evolution beginning, Rimuru gets exhausted and asks Ranga to take him back to the town, along with the hostages – Rayheim and Edomalis.

Sensing one enemy still alive, Rimuru offers the dead bodies of Falmuth soldiers to summon three Demons and gives them their first task to take care of the Falmuth soldier left behind.

People of Tempest hear the Words of the World about the beginning of Rimuru’s evolution to a Demon Lord and soon Ranga also reaches Tempest with Rimuru and the war prisoners.

As his Thermal Fluctuation Resistance might not be functioning properly, Beniamru asks Shion to cover Rimuru in a cloak.

Rimuru ‘super-evolves’ from a slime race to a demon slime race and acquires numerous new skills in addition to the skills he previously had.

The Grate Sage (Wise One) also sacrifices “Degenerate” to evolve itself into ultimate skill “Raphael,” and Rimuru sacrifices “Merciless” to evolve “Gluttony” into ultimate skill “Beelzebub.”

With the completion of Rimuru’s evolution, his subordinates also receive a gift and their bond with Rimuru grows even stronger.

Raphael takes over Rimuru’s body to perform the revival of Shion and everyone who died by the attack of Falmuth. Meanwhile, Rimuru’s summons return back after capturing Razen, who survived Megiddo.

Noticing that Rimuru does not have enough magicules to complete the ritual, Diablo, one of the Demon summon, suggests absorbing the other two summons to supplement the amount of magicules needed.

Raphael accepts the proposal and with enough magicues to perform the secret arts, the ritual to revive the dead takes place and renders Rimuru unconscious.

The story of Tensei Shitara Slime follows the journey of Satoru Mikami after he died and reincarnated as a slime in fantasy land. A slime is a creature that reproduces the form and powers of anything that it absorbs or eats.

Satoru starts eating all the magical herbs and crystals in the cave he woke up in and stumbles upon a dragon who had been captured and couldn’t move due to a barrier. Since both of them had nothing else to do, they befriend each other. The dragon accidentally makes Satoru a named monster, and Satoru promises him that he’d find a way to break the barrier. Hence, an unknown journey begins with this unusual friendship.
