2. Chapter 412 Raw Scans

Deku and Shigaraki’s intense battle goes to new heights in chapter 412 of My Hero Academia, titled “History’s Greatest Hero,”

We are shown the X-ray of Deku’s arm, where it can be seen that he is using Black Whip to expand his muscles. With the help of Fa Jin and the wind pressure, he launches another punch at Shigaraki.

Deku uses the Black Whips combined with a punch to tear off Shigaraki’s arm. Deku had already known the flaws of danger sense, which helped him cause major damage to Shigaraki.

As he begins charging Fa Jin, Shigaraki attacks him with Black Tendrils. Gearshift gets over, and Shigaraki can clearly see that Deku is overdoing, causing the Black Whips to appear as black marks on his arms.

Shigaraki starts a monologue in which he states that Deku is trying to stop him and pretend to assign meaning to him despite knowing nothing about him. Tenko’s death expanded his worldview and made him Tomura Shigaraki, and he is not suffering anymore.

Hearing all this, Nana tells Deku to give up on Shigaraki as he is the biggest barrier in the way of Izuku’s heroism and there is no problem if he can’t overcome it. and just kill him with his next punch. Deku refuses and claims that it is not that simple, as Shigaraki wouldn’t remember all the suffering from the past.

Kudou realizes that Midoriya has never given up on anyone since the start, whether it was his hater or someone with no quirk. Star’s Arm appears in the vestiges, pointing at something.

Kudou tells Nine that he has to give up on One for All.

The chapter ends with a flashback of All Might telling Deku he can be a hero, too.

3. Chapter 412 Speculation

Deku must stop Shigaraki before he can advance closer to Mt Fuji. If Decay triggers near the mountain’s base, Mt Fuji will erupt and cause massive damage to all nearby areas. Although the Vestiges want Deku to run and pass on the quirks, Deku will choose to save Shigaraki.

  • Danger Sense Loophole

With Danger Sense, Shigaraki is nearly invincible to Deku’s attacks. However, Danger Sense was circumvented in the past by people like Toga. In Toga’s case, she was trying to cut people to show them love, which did not trigger Danger Sense. Since Deku truly wants to save Shigaraki, Danger Sense may not sense any danger in his attacks. Another possibility is that Deku is focused on reaching Tenko, not Shigaraki. Danger Sense is currently a part of Shigaraki and may not react to anything Deku uses on Tenko.

  • Kurogiri Arrives

Deku is at a considerable disadvantage during this battle, so other characters may enter the fight. Kurogiri, Present Mic, and Aizawa are currently missing on the battlefield. Kurogiri’s warp ability allows him to arrive at Shigaraki and Deku’s battle and interfere instantly. Moreover, Sero may also come to save Deku or buy some time from the fight to recover.

4. Chapter 411 Recap

Yoichi talks about how Tomura fuels their reason for existing. However, Shigaraki’s constant regeneration prevents Deku from winning an extended fight. Suddenly, Shinomori gets stolen, leaving Deku with fewer quirks to use in the fight. Shigaraki does not share All For One’s obsession with stealing quirks.

Thus, Shigaraki doesn’t go crazy from the power and greed and chooses to focus on the fight. Deku uses Blackwhip x Fa Jin with Gearshift to attack Shigaraki from a distance. However, Tomura evades the attack using Danger Sense and charges toward Deku.

Tomura taunts Deku for still treating him like a human being. Deku barely manages to escape Tomura’s attacks by covering himself in Blackwhip. Deku notices that their fight has nearly reached Mt. Fuji. En thinks Deku should try to escape while he still has power.

However, Tomura can hear all the Vestige’s conversations. The One For All descendants survived this long by running and hiding. However, Tomura is prepared to end them before Deku can hide. The ground begins breaking apart at Tomura’s touch as he approaches Mt. Fuji.

Although the Vestiges picture Tomura as a monster of ruin, Deku sees humanity within him. Deku remembers Uraraka’s words and connects them to his current situation. As Deku clenches his fist again to continue fighting, Tomura smirks.
