York is the traitor in chapter 1078 of One Piece, titled “Should Have Noticed Sooner.”
It was a highly entertaining and dramatic episode. We got a major plot twist at the end of the episode, and I doubt that even one person could have predicted what was about to happen.
With every passing chapter, it is getting tougher to deal with the seraphims. The situation is getting uglier every minute, and York’s reveal has worsened things.

1. Chapter 1079 Raw Scans, Leaks
The raw scans and spoilers for chapter 1079 of One Piece are out. The latest chapter is titled “The Red-Haired Yonko Pirates.” The cover no longer features the mini story regarding Germa and instead has a fan request: Luffy is giving water to a lion because he mistakes the lion for a sunflower.
As the chapter begins, York discovers that the world government has betrayed her and wants to eliminate her too. So, she orders the seraphims to kill everyone except her, Stella, and all the trapped Cipher Poll agents.
The scene then shifts to a ship with the Kurohige pirates’ flag near Egghead Island. Again, the next panel shows Elbaf, where Kid vs. Shanks is taking place. Among some other orders, York also commanded S-Snake to turn them into stone and back to normal later.
Outside of the island, we can see one of the Blackbeard Pirates’ ships approaching Egghead Island…
Cut to Elbaf; Shanks prepares to fight the Kidd pirates. He warns Lucky Roux not to underestimate the boy and his 3000 million bounty.
Shanks uses “Kamusari” and defeats Kid. Kid and Killer are both defeated with a single attack.
The Kid pirates surrender and hand over the copies of their poneglyphs. Dorry and Broggy destroy the ship of the Kid Pirates. The narrator announces that the Kid Pirates have been exterminated.
The spoilers also inform that the next chapter will be on break. So chapter 1080 will be released after the break.
2. Chapter 1079 Discussion
Atlas and Robin might arrive at the right time to save Vegapunk in chapter 1079 of One Piece.
The events of chapter 1078 have shocked everyone, going by the narration in this chapter. I think there is a high chance that Vegapunk will end up dead by the end of this arc.
We also got a lot of questions to think about. Elders decided to eliminate Vegapunk with another unidentified figure whose name wasn’t revealed. I wonder who that man is.

Stussy tells Sentomaru that CP0’s mission is to eliminate Vegapunk and wait till Kizaru arrives. The government is hellbent on eliminating Vegapunk because he has picked up and continued his forbidden research on Ohara.
Sentomaru tells everyone to evacuate as quickly as they can. In 3F Building C, Franky tells S-Snake to turn Usopp and Lilith back to normal. Pythagoras shows up, and S-Snake crushes his face with her legs, blasts off the place, and moves ahead.
On 2F Building A, Atlas, Chopper, and Robin are discussing the current scenario. Atlas is reminded of an old lab of theirs, and the three decide to visit that place in hopes of finding Vegapunk.
Sanji is fighting S-Shark in 3F Building A while Zoro and Luffy try their best to deal with S-Bear and S-Hawk. S-Hawk disappears to take care of weak opponents first.
Zoro goes after him, but Luffy tells Kaku to go after Zoro as he will get lost immediately. Luffy attacks S-Bear with Hawk-Gatling. It is now when a narration starts saying that all this is happening one day before the infamous Egghead incident.
This incident is not sudden. It has been set in motion for almost three months. We get a flashback of three months before when the world government gets the information that Vegapunk is studying about the Void Century again.
Also, the agents who are sent to Egghead never return from there. After a discussion between the five elders and one mysterious figure, Vegapunk’s assassination order was released.
The elders decided to visit Egghead in person along with Kizaru. However, Luffy’s unexpected arrival at Egghead caused the government some panic.
A figure approaches Vegapunk as he is completely shocked to see the culprit behind all this. York approaches him, telling him that she will become a celestial dragon and that there should be only one Vegapunk.
