The chapter starts with Nekomamushi telling Carrot to be careful and not accidentally turn into her Sulong form. Meanwhile, as Luffy and Kaido clash, Yamato realizes that this is exactly how Oden had described the conflict between Roger and Whitebeard that split the heavens.
Luffy then tells Yamato to help Momonosuke achieve his goal and stop Onigashima from destroying the capital. As they both try to flee from the rooftop, Kaido tries to attack them to stop them, but Luffy comes in his way.
Since Momonosuke is still not used to his Devil Fruit powers, he does not know how to fly. Yamato then tells him that Dragons don’t actually fly, but they conjure clouds to use as footholds. Chapter 1026, titled “Tennozan: Turning Point,” starts with Bao Huang announcing real-time updates of the events taking place on the roof.

Luffy notices that Kaido is about to use his Fire Breath and commands Momonosuke to do the same.

Momonsuke is unable to muster the courage to bite Kaido, but then he remembers his past and how his parents would be alive if Kaido had not decided to invade the Land of Wano.
In a fit of rage, Momonosuke finds it in himself to move and bite Kaido, not letting him go. Kaido is about to attack Momonosuke when Luffy intervenes and protects him.
Meanwhile, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi seem to be losing their battle as the two dragons battling caused the clouds to cover the full moon, thus losing their Sulong form.
Jack and Perospero both gloat as they are able to gain this victory because of sheer luck.
Luffy then yells and tells Momonosuke that he just bit Kaido, an Emperor of the Sea. So, he no longer should feel afraid to do anything.
He then tells Momonosuke to fly off and stop Onigashima from landing. He assures Momonosuke that he will defeat Kaido on his own.
Luffy and Momonosuke’s conversation is transmitted throughout Onigashima through Bao Huang, which motivates everyone to give it their all to support Luffy.
Luffy and Kaido then clash head-on, causing the sky to split, which reveals the full moon.
The chapter ends with Inuarashi and Nekomamushi regaining their Sulong form and defeating Jack and Perospero for good.
