A new case unfolds as Akane Tsunemori tries to investigate a crime scene at a ship. She must deal with a new investigation team as well as an organization responsible for the incident. As they find out the larger conspiracy behind it, they might uncover something that will shake the Sibyl System.
The upcoming film Psycho-Pass Providence will not only share a new case but will also bridge the gap between the Psycho-Pass SS films and Psycho-Pass Season 3.
On Wednesday, The official website for the Psycho-Pass series released a new trailer featuring the opening and ending theme songs. The film will be released theatrically on May 12.
In the video, the ending song “Tōjisha” (The One Concerned) by EGOIST is played first. The band has also performed both ending songs for Psycho-Pass Season 1 and the ending song “Fallen” for Season 2.
The opening song, “Alexithymia Spare”, is played next and is performed by Ling Tosite Sigure. Ling Tosite Sigure is also a returning performer, having sung the opening songs for the first two seasons and Psycho-Pass: The Movie.

Naoyoshi Shinotani is directing the film, with Makoto Fukami and Tow Ubukata writing the script. Naoyuki Onda will design the characters and is also the chief animation director. Yugo Kanno is also returning to compose the music.

About Psycho-Pass Providence
Psycho-Pass Providence is a 2023 anime film from the Psycho-Pass franchise. It is directed by the series director Naoyoshi Shiotani. The movie takes place after the Psycho-Pass SS films and before the third season.
While attending a conference, Akane learns of an incident on a foreign vessel. Dr. Milicia Stronskaya, who was invited by Atsushi Shindo, is found dead. The incident turns out to be a part of a bigger plan that involves a research document by Stronskaya which holds a few secrets that can threaten the Japanese government and the Sibyl System.
