Netflix’s Trailer for ‘Tekken: Bloodline’ Uncovers Jin’s Tragic Past

Tekken already rules over the gaming world and recently decided to broaden its horizons with an anime. Although video games and anime are an unbeatable duo, tampering with such a beloved franchise does invite a lot of disapproval from its fans.

It’s expected of them to be wary about their favorite game getting adapted in other media forms, especially when Netflix is behind it.

I’m happy to tell you that there’s absolutely no need to worry, as Netflix’s new trailer for Tekken: Bloodline anime proves how good the show will be.

The trailer is good with the animation and effects but portrays the heartbreaking tale of Jin Kazama’s past.

Being a part of the Mishima bloodline, Jin’s fate is bound to be tragic and hit him in the worst way form you can imagine. The video shows the protagonist training with his mother, Jun Kazama, who the Ancient Ogre later kills.

Following his mother’s death, Jin begins training under his uncle, Heihachi Mishima, who teaches him to awaken the Mishima fire. He goes through gruesome training daily to avenge his mother and take down Ogre.

After years of building himself, Jin uncovers the secrets of his tainted lineage during the King of Iron Fist competition. The event invites only the strongest fighters, and the best out of all gets the title of the king.

Netflix has also revealed some sick key art for the anime debuting on August 18, 2022.

The visual features Jin in the center with all other fighters beside him and Heihachi and Ogre in the background.

Looking at the trailer, I’m impressed that Netflix didn’t ruin the animation. Moreover, the music and sound effects just take the whole experience up a notch.

We still can’t judge the whole thing based on a 2-minute trailer, so let’s see how it goes.
