It looks like the attention is slowly being diverted from the original team to the next generation. From Sasuke losing his rinnegan to Naruto losing Kurama, the team we saw growing up has suddenly weakened.

While we see Boruto and Kawaki getting power-ups every now and then, Naruto has been left behind in the race.

Ever since he lost Kurama, Naruto’s strength has been significantly affected. Even if he has tons of other powers, he can never match up to his previous might.

After Naruto faced a dilemma regarding Shikamaru, it was Kawaki who saved both of them from Code and Momoshiki. Kawaki’s power-up in the chapter definitely stole Naruto’s already dimming spotlight.

Kawaki can finally protect his Lord Seventh, but is the Hokage actually happy about this?

Gone are the days when he could protect everyone single-handedly. Now, mere teenagers are helping him out. As bad as it sounds, that’s the impression chapter 65 gave.

Naruto will undoubtedly have more important rules to play in the story, but has his glory been snatched? I hate to see a favorite character getting nerfed like this, so I hope he shows his true potential once again in the series.
