My Hero Academia Season 5 Ep 23: Release Date, Speculation And Watch Online

In Episode 22, Re-Destro’s tactics backfired when Twice overcame his psychological trauma and doubled himself into numerous clones.

Twice’s clones marched down the streets of Deika city, hence the title of the episode ‘Sad Man’s Parade.’

While Dabi faced off with Liberation villains, Geten, Shigaraki and Twice’s doubles managed to reach the top of the tower to rescue Giran.

Meanwhile, Gigantomachia also woke up and rushed to find his master’s successor. In the end, Shigaraki figured out something and collapsed the tower down with his quirk.

We bring you the latest episode updates for this anime.

Episode 23 Preview & Speculation

On getting more context into Twice’s past, I think we all can agree that he has every bit of a hero when it comes to the qualities required of them. Sadly, he has been on the wrong side of the circumstances.

In the preview of the next episode, the League of Villain shifts to counter attacking. While fighting Re-Destro, Shigaraki recalls the past he’d forgotten, the sad past of Tenko Shimura that made him run towards destruction.

Judging by the title of the next episode and the preview, it seems like next week we will get to see more in-depth into Shigaraki’s past. We might also learn how exactly he became the second in line after All For One.

Moreover, we will also see Gigantomachia arriving on the scene next week as he is already awake. I’m curious how Shigaraki and other villains will use him to fight against the Liberation warriors.

Twice thinks back to when he was 16. After his parents died, he was left alone and got involved in villainous activities. Gradually, he stopped trusting anyone, not even himself. That’s when he met Giran and joined the group.

In the present, Twice tries to escape, but his doubles catch him and break his arms, as commanded by Re-Destro.

Finally, Twice breaks free of the puppets after overcoming his psychological trauma. With his quirk, he creates numerous doubles that march down the city.

On the other hand, Dabi continues to battle with Geten. Geten freezes the water in all the water pipelines of the city. As a result, some of Twice’s clones die. Geten looks at Dabi’s burning skin and realizes that he won’t be able to fight for long.

Meanwhile, with Doctor Ujiko’s efforts, Gigantomachia wakes up and rushes to find Shigaraki. In Deika city, Twice’s clones help clear the path for other villains, but they are cornered by Liberation warriors. Somehow, one of Twice’s doubles reaches the top of the tower.

At the tower, Re-Destro enlarges his hand and wipes off all the doubles. One of the Twice doubles duplicates himself before vanishing and goes to help Giran. While Re-Destro prepares to kill them, Shigaraki’s Double attacks him back.

In the end, Shigaraki’s double asks Twice to protect Giran and explains that the real Re-Destro is below the tower. Next, he touches the tower, collapsing it instantly.

As the tower comes crumbling down, Shigaraki sees Re-Destro in front of him and asks if he is the real boss.
