Deku made a fair assumption that his presence would compromise everyone’s safety at the school, or so I initially thought. But it seems like UA is much safer than the “old school with just a new metal door.”
Even though UA was slated to be an impenetrable fortress, Shigaraki was able to invade it during the USJ incident, and that was before his exploits at Tartarus. To make UA what it was supposed to be, Principal Nezu decided to make some essential upgrades.
UA can now travel on its own. Nezu reveals that each section of the school can now turn into an underground emergency shelter, which can travel along with an underground transportation system.
The school grounds are further reinforced with 3000 bulwark plates, which will become independently detached if an outside attack is detected.
Nezu specifically put this in place to counteract Shigaraki’s evolved Decay quirk. Given how he did not know about the nature of the quirk’s evolution ahead of time, this is quite impressive.
Although UA is probably the safest place in Japan right now, we know the school will probably be the place for the final showdown.
Now that Midoriya is in UA, it’s only a matter of time All for One comes knocking. With all these reinforcements, any invasion almost seems impossible, at least through brute force.
Maybe the only way that a security system like this could be compromised is through someone on the inside. Will we finally get to see who the traitor is after all this time?
