Hawks and All For One face off in a battle to the death in chapter 380 of My Hero Academia titled “Close Call for Realsies.”
With Gentle Criminal slowly beginning to lose elasticity and control over the flying U.A., he gets surprising support from all the heroes in the business course, and La Brava’s actions give him even more love to power through with.
Meanwhile, All For One faces off against Hawks and exchanges blows while solely thinking of getting to Shigaraki and absorbing his body entirely leaving no space left for his personality to survive.
1. Chapter 381 Raw Scans, Leaks
The raw scans for chapter 381 of My Hero Academia are out. The chapter is titled “Darkness.”
Camie is confused because AFO has a face now. Shishikura wants revenge but won’t give in to hate. He wants to inherit his father’s efforts as a jailor. Other Shiketsu students arrive to help the heroes deal with Twice clones. Toga instructs all long-range fighters to stand against AFO and Toga.
Tsukauchi reveals to Hawks that the Shiketsu students were out to help before anyone was even asked to.
AFO on the other hand comments that the heroes sending in everyone is a sign of desperation. Next he grows wings and throws lasers with black lightning. The attack hit many heroes including Kamui and Kinoko.
AFO says that the heroes have all lived during All Might’s shadow of peace and never experienced his reign of fear. Thus they have no chance of defeating him without the main man. His speech is accompanied by panels of Dabi flying after Endeavor and Banjo standing in front of fallen buildings.
Inasa then says that he knows his history, but then AFO plans to steal his quirk. The air works to AFO’s advantage as he lands a blow on Inasa. He isn’t shaken and claims that his quirk is stronger on windy days.
Hawks then says that it’s not just OFA that connects people since he has seen how Endeavor has helped bring hope. It doesn’t matter to AFO because the rest of the heroes are weak. However, a dark shadow with two huge eyes appears behind him.
AFO looks afraid as he realizes it’s Tokoyami and Dark Shadow. AFO realizes that he needs to dodge this attack, and Tokoyami threatens him. Pixie Bob apparently created the earth shelter that was used to unleash the Dark Shadow’s full power .
Since AFO can’t steal Endeavor’s quirk by just touching his flames, it must be the same with Tokoyami. The chapter ends with Tokoyami hitting All for One with his BLACK ANKH BALDR, boosted by Inasa’s wind.
2. Chapter 381 Speculation
The next chapter will likely focus on Deku and Shigaraki’s fight, where they can finally take it seriously since All For One’s control was relinquished. Deku will not want to kill him, however, and will likely try to talk it out.
Uraraka and Toga’s fight may also receive an update since there has been little to no sighting of her since she warped through the portal. Twice was shown in this chapter so it is probably a hint for their fight soon.

Gentle Criminal is nearing his limit; even with the love of La Brava on his side, there is only so much time his elasticity can last. La Brava continues to type as fast as she can as she braves him on to stay just a bit longer till she finishes the program.
He gets ecstatic at the idea that Deku might have left it up to him and gave him his complete faith in stopping the flying U.A., and thinks that there is no audience or cameras to cheer for him. Immediately after, he notices a large number of cameras snapping at him.
It is not just a random act. However, it has much more meaning behind it, considering all the events of the war and the public ruin that both Endeavor and the Hero Association went through after.
The heroes should have been connected closer to the people, but the spread of information was limited in a way that showed only the darkest sides and a one-sided story. Forging the connection between them is up to the heroes of the business course.
Twice’s clones continue multiplying with the sole thought of murdering every hero. Meanwhile, Aizawa and Present Mic blast out of control and go through Kurogiri’s portal, saving and getting rid of them.
La Brava broadcasts the entire fight as All For One talks of his plan, where he was supposed to have complete control of Shigaraki immediately, and there was no idea of fusion or a new personality.
However, Hawks refuses to let him ever reach Shigaraki again and absorb his body, and fights him head-on to keep him from Shigaraki. All For One almost lands a fatal blow on Hawks but is saved at the last moment by Camie’s illusion.
