Not every story begins with the hero’s death for good. As an old threat begins to resurface, how will a new team of heroes fight back? The Legendary Hero Is Dead! will take you on a whole new adventure where a farmer boy has to take over the mantle of the dead hero.
And that is going to be a crazy (and naughty) path to walk on.
On Tuesday, the official website for the anime series released a second promotional video, which also previews the opening song. The production staff has also revealed more cast members, a new visual, and the release date. The Legendary Hero Is Dead! will arrive on April 6.
The video begins with the key moment of the hero lying in a pig trap. It then begins to introduce all the characters with their comedic moments. The new hero, Touka looks like he hasn’t slept for days. In the end, a few heroic moments are shown while not ignoring his perversion.
Masayoshi Oishi performed the opening song “Shinda!” (Dead) in the background. The song is not only apt for the story but also stays loyal to the mood it sets. Yurika Kubo has performed the ending song “Kawaikutte Ijiwaru Shichau” (o Cute That I’ll Be Mean to You).
More cast members were revealed with the new trailer and visual. Here is the list of the newly introduced characters:

LIDEN FILMS is producing the series with Rion Kujo as the director. Yū Satō is handling the scripts. For the anime, the characters are designed by Yosuke Yabumoto and Akito Fujiwara. Kana Utatane, Yūki Nara, Yamazo, and MOKA☆ are composing the music.
It’s quite clear that the anime will keep things light-hearted as much as it can. While the genre surprises me every time with something out of the blue, it better not veer from the story and show Touka’s growth.

The Legendary Hero is Dead! (Yūsha ga Shinda! Murabito no Ore ga Hotta Otoshiana ni Yūsha ga Ochita Kekka.) is a manga series by Sabaruichi. It was serialized in Shogakukan’s Ura Sunday Website and MangaONE app from December 2014 to December 2020.
Sion Bladan, the hero who formerly sealed the demon realm, is on a quest to reseal the portal. However, he dies by falling into a pit dug by Touka. Anri uses Touka’s soul to bring Shion back. With Touks’s friend Yuna, the three embark on the quest to rid the world of demons once again.
