What if the fate of the world lies in the hands of a student witch who not only fails at magic but also put the world in jeopardy in the first place? The hilarious and magical story of Fūka and her friends trying to fix her mistake will unfold next month.
On Thursday, the production staff for the film The Klutzy Witch: Fūka and the Dark Witch released a trailer on the official website. The video features the theme song for the film “Tokimeki no Kaze ni Notte” by Honoka Inoue, who is also voicing the main character, Fūka.
The trailer starts off with a scene depicting the unleashing of a dark force. It then moves to Fūka, who performs magic but lacks precision. It also shows other key characters, including Chitose, Karin, Keith, Lilica, Megaira, and others.
As per the previously released teaser and the new trailer, the film will premiere on March 31.

Production I.G. is handling the production and animation for the film with Takayuki Hamana as the director. Kiyoko Yoshimura is writing for the film, and Marumi Sugita is designing the characters. Shun Narita and Yasuyuki Yamazaki compose the background music.
I always appreciate whenever an old classic or a decades-old story is chosen for an anime adaptation. It further immortalizes the franchise, especially when it only exists as a manga or a light novel series.
About The Klutzy Witch: Fūka and the Dark Witch
The Klutzy Witch: Fūka and the Dark Witch (Rakudai Majo: Fūka to Yami no Majo) is an anime film by Production I.G that will open in Japan in spring 2023. It is based on “The Klutzy Witch” children’s novel series, written by Satoko Narita and illustrated by Senno Enaga.
Poplar Publishing have been publishing it since October 2006 under their Poplar Pocket Bunko imprint.
The story follows a clumsy witch apprentice Fūka who unsealed an evil dark witch and was sent to another world with her friends Chitose and Karin. Now it’s up to Fuuka to go against the dark witch and save the world.
