Lupin the Third: Part Six episode zero aired this week.

Episode zero was more of a tribute to Kiyoshi Kobayashi, who is retiring after being the voice actor of Daisuke Jigen ever since the pilot film in 1969.

In the episode, we saw that our trio ended up in jail. It was later brought to light that they got caught because Fujiko playfully abandoned them. Nonetheless, this is nothing new to them. As usual, we saw them escape from jail and feast on their profits.

Episode 1 Speculations and Discussions

Lupin the Third: Part Six episode one is titled “Enter Sherlock Holmes.”

From the next episode’s title, it is clear that Lupin will be going against Sherlock this season.

I cannot wait to see Lupin and his crew outsmart the best detective in the world.

Then again, we cannot be sure. After all, it is Sherlock Holmes who has never failed to solve a case.

Anyway, it is safe to assume that Lupin and his crew will end up doing something that makes Sherlock their enemy, making him chase them.

No, Lupin the Third: Part Six is not on break this week. Episode one is set to air as scheduled. No delay has been announced.

Episode zero starts with Jigen voicing his opinion on people who tell others to reflect on their journey in life.

He states that people who say such statements are probably too bored in life or obnoxious eggheads who think they are better than everyone else.

The story then cuts to Jigen in jail along with Lupin and Goemon. It almost makes him contemplate his decisions.

He starts thinking about his future and feels that his time has come to retire from this profession.

He mentions his thoughts to Lupin and Goemon. He tells them that he feels like he cannot adapt to modernization and should probably just quit.

Lupin thinks he is joking and tells him that he should not ponder over such things and take it easy.

He then goes on to open their cell, which lets them escape. Lupin and Goemon carry on while Jigen holds back the cops.

Jigen then goes to a bar to reflect on his thoughts. Zenigata meets up with him in that place and asks him to reveal Lupin’s location.

Jigen does not say anything and leaves the place without any consequences since Zenigata is off duty.

Jigen then meets up with Lupin and the others and has a feast with them. While Jigen goes out for a smoke, Goemon confronts Lupin about Jigen’s feelings.

Lupin says that if Jigen has made a decision, he will readily accept it since Jigen has always done the same for him.

The episode ends with Zenigata trying to capture Lupin and his crew but fails miserably because of Jigen, who has decided to stick with Lupin for some more time.
