Ka Ryou devises a strategy to cross the river separating them from the central hill in episode 4 of Kingdom season 5, titled “A Lieutant’s Responsibility.”
Ka Ryou and En were the main highlights of this episode. One went against all odds to get a strategy that would help them get past the strong river that was being guarded by Ba Tei and his men on the other side.
The other stood strong against the deadly river to deliver the results that would be the game changer for his army. Despite all odds and doubt about his abilities, En held strong to the belief that Shin and Ka Ryou instilled in him as he played the most important role in this battle.

2. Episode 5 Speculations
En will pass the deadly river and ensure the Hi Shin unit’s victory in episode 5 of Kingdom season 5, titled “A Determined Crossing.”
It will be an epic episode showcasing the determination of a lieutenant to the cause of his general. En will be the main protagonist in the next episode. Fighting hard against the currents and his self-doubts.
His crossing the river successfully will ensure a sure-shot victory for the Hi Shin unit against Ba Tei. Shin will try to engage in a fight with Ba Tei, but the latter will escape the battleground after losing the other side of the river.
3. Episode 4 Recap
Ma Ron shows up at Shin’s tent to tell him about their strategy for the second day of the battle. He tells him that they will be heading to capture the central hill with all their strength.
Shin’s unit is tasked to assist the main army from the right side and will have to set the stage for their army’s victory on Kaku You. Ma Ron leaves, but not before threatening Shin’s life if he also fails on the second day.
The battle commences with the Hi Shin unit and its lieutenants winning battles from all sides. Ka Ryou finds their quick victories strange. As Shin reaches the front, he is left shocked by the sight and immediately calls for Ka Ryou.
Up front, a river separates them from the Zhao soldiers. The Zhao army has completely barricaded the other side of the river, making it impossible for the Hi Shin unit to get past them.
The river becomes a huge barrier for them as the water is deep, and the soldiers are bombarded with arrows if they try to cross the river. To devise a strategy, Ka Ryou calls Ki Hou, an expert on rivers, and takes him along with her to examine the stretch of the river.
She examines the river from all sides. She gets back to the camp and thinks hard about a plan. She remembers what Shou Hei taught her about rivers. It is impossible to win such a battle without a boat or a bridge.
She still refuses to give up and, after some time, finally comes out with a strategy. She tells Shin that they will have to build a bridge in their own style and require En.
One unit of the army will attack from one side of the river with many soldiers and Shin as their lead. Ka Ryou leads a small unit of their mightiest soldiers through a second path where they won’t be bombarded with arrows.
Apart from these two, the most important part will be played by a unit led by En, who will cross the river through a third spot. This area has strong currents, making it impossible for anyone to cross the river. Thus, no soldiers were placed by the Zhao army there.
En and his team prepare to cross the river. Do Nan tells En that he will cross the river first. He gets down to business, but the currents prove to be too strong for him, and he gets swallowed by the river.
However, they observe that the river has started turning red from the blood of their comrades. This pushes En to cross the river with all his might.
While Ka Ryou was telling everyone about her strategy, Ga Ro raised the objection to giving such an important task to En. En remembers slowly losing his place in the Hi Shin unit.
Still, Shin and Ka Ryou handed this task over to him because they trusted him the most. They tell Ga Ro that En has the most sense of responsibility among them all, making him the best man for this job.
Remembering this conversation gives En the motivation to strive hard.
