Shou tells Shin the complete story of Kanki and Shio’s past in chapter 750 of Kingdom.

It was an extremely heavy chapter. It was both awesome and disturbing at the same time. Seeing Kanki’s past makes you wonder about this guy’s sanity, and you might start to empathize with him.

What happened to Shio is truly traumatizing. Just reading about it disturbs you to the core. For once, you start to think that what Kanki did to avenge her or Raido’s death was right, but it just can’t be true.

Naki might interfere with the conversation between Kanki and Riboku in chapter 751 of Kingdom. 

I still don’t think he will pull off something unexpected, but it might give him time for Kanki to escape or even kill a bunch of Riboku’s men. At this point, I can’t say much about what will happen in the next chapter, but it will surely be epic. 

Riboku came to a sudden realization while he was talking to Kanki. I am still confused as to what that is. Maybe they will be able to reach some kind of understanding. I can’t wait to read what’s coming next.

6. Chapter 750 Recap 

Riboku wants to talk to Kanki before killing him. He tells Kanki to surrender and drop his weapon. If he does that, Riboku will let his subordinates live. Kanki refuses, and so do his subordinates.

Riboku tells Kanki that he used to think the Kanki clan was just a bunch of beasts who only committed violence. However, even if they had a heart for their subordinates, how could Kanki heartlessly massacre more than 100k people?

Kanki replies that Riboku will never be able to understand the heart of those who were abused. Meanwhile, Shou narrates Kanki’s whole backstory to Shin.

He tells him that Shio’s death is what changed Kanki. The leader of Saki, Kanki, and Shio loved each other, but one day, while Kanki was away, Shio was kidnapped by the lord of Gipa.

She was brutally violated many times, and her limbs were cut off. Kanki failed to avenge her death at that time. So he left Saki and formed his own clan, and over several years, he massively grew his army.

He then attacked Gipa again and captured the castle. For Shio’s revenge, he beheaded everyone inside the castle with his own hands. After that, he fell deep into the deepest pit of darkness.

Shou wishes Kanki and Shio didn’t meet each other in the first place, but Io interrupts him saying that Kanki is not what he looks like. We return to the conversation between Kanki and Riboku.

Riboku tells Kanki that he can understand where his wrath comes from. He thinks being abused pushed Kanki into despair, but suddenly he realizes that Kanki is not in despair.

Not being in despair at all is what makes Kanki rage continuously towards this imperfect world. Io tells everyone that Kanki still has some glimmers of light inside him.

Kanki became Kanki because of Shio. Maron objects because he is now in a dilemma as to who he and others are to Kanki. Io tells Maron that they all are family to Kanki.

She realized this when Kanki massacred 100k people to avenge Raido’s death. Maron regrets leaving Kanki alone, but Io tells him not to worry as the other family member, Naki, is heading toward Kanki. 

The chapter ends with Naki approaching Riboku and Kanki’s army.
