Hunter x Hunter to Go Back on a Hiatus After Chapter 400

After four years of torturous wait, Hunter x Hunter finally returned in October with a new chapter and broke the internet. Fans who had been anticipating the manga’s resumption were thrilled out of their minds, and rightfully so.

Unfortunately, our happiness was short-lived, and we took this privilege for granted.

Hunter x Hunter is reportedly going back on a break with no return date specified. Chapter 400 will be the last for now before the manga takes an indefinite break again.

The editorial states that the manga will keep producing chapters in a non-weekly format. That means we’ll definitely get new stuff, and the story will continue, but there’s no way of knowing when and how long it will take.

Considering that the chapters we got this time were written 3-4 years ago, we know that Togashi is working on the story. However, there’s no way of knowing when he plans to complete more chapters and put them out.

It could take weeks, months, or even years to get a new chapter.

Moreover, it was stated that this hiatus is happening because of Togashi’s health issues. The mangaka has always put his health first and given it priority over producing new content.

The good thing is that his fans understand and don’t pressure or shame him into working and ruining his health. I hope all authors get a fanbase like Togashi’s because the manga industry really needs it.

The Succession Contest arc will continue in the coming chapters, and there’s no sight of this storyline ending anytime soon.

I hope Togashi takes care of his health and knows that Hunter x Hunter fans are not going anywhere and that we’ll wait patiently for the story’s continuation.
