How strong is Izuku Midoriya now? Can he become the No. 1 Hero?

Do you remember that brave and lovable kid who received amazing power from Japan’s #1 hero? Well, he’s now a brave and lovable badass.

Deku has come so far from being the weakest student at UA High to one of the most insanely powerful characters in the entire series. The new meta liberation army arc began a couple chapters ago. Looking at some of Izuku’s latest feats, I started wondering just how strong he has really become.

Is he strong enough to surpass Endeavor and All Might Prime? Here’s the spoiler-free short version:

Izuku Midoriya has become one of the strongest characters in My Hero Academia. He has unlocked six out of his seven quirks and has gotten adept control in almost all of them. His strategies and quirky usage of powers is even sharper than before making him a deadly opponent.

How much has Midoriya grown?

Deku’s growth directly relates to his improvement in battle and power. He has grown a lot as a person, but it isn’t significant enough to talk about.

Season 1 Midoriya was highly vulnerable. He’d just received his new quirk and was pushed into a world where everyone already had years to get familiar with themselves and their powers.

He couldn’t even use 1% of one for all without injuring himself severely. If he had to face the same battles as Season 4 Midoriya, there is no way he would survive, let alone win.

Although, the one in the manga currently is a force to be reckoned with.

Not only can he use full cowl at 20%, but he’s also learned to pour his power and energy into a technique that suits him the best. I’m talking about his new shoot style and air cannons.  He’s already strong and experienced enough to enter top #20 hero billboard, if not top #10.

Comparing him with the kids at his age would be an utter waste of time. I mean, just look at his latest feats. He saved a third year from Muscle, beat Lady Nagant and saved Chisaki, and took the entire class 2A to catch Midoriya (which they failed to do so by the way).

Midoriya is the perfect example of the millennial phrase “when puberty hits you hard.” Ahem, moving on from the bad joke, let’s quantity his battle prowess.

Is Izuku stronger than All Might Prime now?

Izuku is nowhere near as strong as Yagi Toshinori (All Might) was in his prime. All Might’s experience and battle prowess would far surpass the current Midoriya. However, current Midoriya is definitely much faster and agile than All Might Prime, and even Hawks.

All Might was a beacon of light in his prime. In fact, he somehow still is. Not even the demon king All For One was able to beat him in a battle at the time. He was highly experienced, had complete control over his quirk, and was rapidly getting better day by day.

On the other hand, Midoriya isn’t even stronger than Endeavor; the current #1 hero. Deku hasn’t even had his quirk for two full years. This is why even though he isn’t as powerful as all might prime now, he could surpass him sometime in the future.

Can He become the Number One Hero?

Midoriya is destined to surpass All Might. Recently, we’ve found out that one for all stores the quirks of all its previous users. So, after Deku inherited one for all, he’s been making the quirk his while also unlocking the other quirks hidden within.

If he can master all for one and these hidden quirks, he will become the new number one hero. Probably the strongest hero to ever exist.

How Does he Compare to Shoto and Bakugo?

At this point, we have no idea who is the strongest hero out of the three. However, all of them have been extremely close to each other regarding power and ability.

They even go to the same internship, which only shows how similar they are.

Even if that is the case right now, in the future, I believe that Midoriya will be the best hero out of the three.

Midoriya has had much less time to get used to and learn his quirk. Around 14 years less than his rivals. So if Midoriya got just a bit more time, he’d be able to surpass the other two in no time.
