Fans of the romantic anime genre are in for another treat as the 5th, and 6th OVAs of the Hori-san to Miyamura-kun manga will be releasing soon!
Manga readers already knew about the series’ potential, and its recent anime adaptation proved just how good the series is. However, Studio CloverWorks has skipped a lot of chapters and left some fans unsatisfied with it.
However, these OVAs are fan favorites and are here to compensate for the anime series’ blunder!
The 5th and 6th OVAs of the Hori-san to Miyamura-kun manga will be released on 25th May. Studio Gonzo is animating the upcoming OVAs.
The 4th and 5th OVA titles are “Midsummer Day” and “A Kind Person.” They will have a duration of 22 and 26 minutes, respectively.
Many fans might mistake Horimiya to be the abbreviation of the Hori-san to Miyamura-kun manga. This is also true, but Hori-san to Miyamura-kun is actually the original web-manga by HERO that finished serialization in 2011.
Horimiya is the second manga adaptation that is authored by HERO and illustrated by Daisuke Hagiwara. The anime series adaptation is based on Horimiya while the OVAs are based on the original manga. This is also why the studios are different.
A total of four OVAs have already been released since 2012. The cast members from the previous OVAs will be reprising their roles.
Staff members of the OVAs include:
|Director||Kazuya Aiura||Assassin’s Pride|
|Script Writer||Yuniko Ayana||Given|
|Character Designer||Fumi Katou; Kenichi Kutsuna||Valhait Rising: Kandou e.; Bleach Movie 2 (Key Animation)|
The previous 4 OVAs have received lots of attention from fans, and we are hoping that the next two will be the same. Many even prefer the original animations to the anime series.
Now that two new episodes will be releasing in May, you can be the judge of which ones you like better!
