Edens Zero to End Soon as Manga Enters the Final Arc

Edens Zero became the knight in shining armor for all those who were left wounded and heartbroken due to the Fairy Tail series ending. Full of easter eggs and characters who look like our favorites, this sci-fi series turned into an instant hit among Hiro Mashima fans.

The series has been going on since June 2018, but sadly, it is coming to an end soon.

Weekly Shonen Magazine’s combined 4th and 5th issue for 2023 has revealed that the Edens Zero manga has entered its final arc with its latest chapter 221.

The story entered the Universe Zero Saga storyline in chapter 217, where Rebecca found out her parents were Connor and Rachel. It was quite a wholesome chapter full of gags showing the similarities between Rebecca and Connor as the former’s crewmates had a laugh.

As the story went on, Rachel finally recovered and woke up, but the first thing she did was to warn the crew about Universe Zero.

In the latest chapter 221, Rachel tells everyone that Universe Zero is the ultimate and that it can rewrite their memories and make them permanent. That is, if someone is dead in Universe Zero, then they’ll be dead in every other one.

Such an extreme condition calls for much discussion, which the crew didn’t have the time to do. Without any notice, everyone got transported to Universe Zero, and they promised to find each other no matter what.

Shiki and Rebecca were successful in doing so, and both had a nostalgic moment as they met in the same way again, in the Granbell Kingdom.

The good thing is that both of them have retained their memories and will not set out to find others and save Mother before humanity dies with her.

As for the anime, the second season is slated to come out in April 2023 and has promised to have loads of thrill and excitement in it.

The way the manga is going might end in 2023 itself, as Mashima doesn’t like to extend the story for this one unnecessarily.

At the Granbell Kingdom, Shiki has lived his entire life among machines, in an abandoned amusement park. But one day, Rebecca and her cat companion Happy appear at the park’s front gates.

Little do they know that this is the first human contact Granbell has had in a hundred years! As Shiki stumbles his way into making new friends, his former neighbors stir at an opportunity for a robot-rebellion.

When his old homeland becomes too dangerous, Shiki must join Rebecca and Happy on their spaceship and escape into the boundless cosmos.
