Godzilla, the King of Monsters, is back with a new design to scare us! The Godzilla franchise is a nostalgic one.
It may not bear pleasant memories for everyone, though, as some of us have cowered in fear during the night after watching the movies. (You know who you are)
With Godzilla coming back with an original anime series, we should get prepared for more bone-chilling fear as the monster rampages over cities.
The Godzilla: Singular Point’s official Twitter has revealed a new fully designed visual of Godzilla. Eiji Yamamori has created the monster for the upcoming series.

The visual does justice to the fearful monster who can destroy entire cities in the blink of an eye. With its colossal stature and black design, it looks genuinely intimidating.
Some new details have also been added to the monster’s dorsal fins for a fresher and more polished look.
So how are fans reacting to the new design? The reactions are 50-50 as some fans like the hefty structure while others do not like the over-emphasis on the legs and the tail. It looks almost asymmetrical.
Godzilla: Singular Point will premiere in April 2021, and Netflix will have exclusive online streaming rights.
Designer Eiji Yamamori has worked as the key animator on several Studio Ghibli projects like Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, or Princess Mononoke.
A small interview with him has also been published on the anime’s official website.
Yamamura has no experience with anime designing, but he is confident of his work on the monster. He is also honored that he was selected for the position. He has commented that the new design is based on the original design of the beast. It is a tribute to TOHO.
“I aimed at integrating the original Showa Godzilla while creating a new appearance at the same time.” Yamamura believes that the Godzilla he wanted to see as a monster lover will also be loved by the audience.
The concept of Godzilla emerged from the 1954 film by Ishiro Honda. It was then featured in films by TOHO.
Godzilla is a huge monster that plagues human lives. It is almost indestructible and wreaks havoc over humanity.
Every media has portrayed the story of Godzilla in a different way and its story has been tweaked each time.
