What would happen if every living thing you touched ceased to exist? What would happen if you were shunned by everyone except the one person you like? Find out in the upcoming anime adaptation of The Duke of Death and His Maid, only on Funimation.
There is no shortage of rom-com anime. We often get to see one or two almost every other season, but only a few are able to leave a lasting mark. The Duke of Death and His Maid seems to have all the things in order to be one of those few.
Funimation will exclusively stream The Duke of Death and His Maid anime from 4th July, 2021.
The anime is produced by JC Staff. The main staff and cast for the anime were revealed previously.
The anime is about a Duke who is cursed with a touch of death. Due to this, he is forced to live deep inside a forest with his butler and maid. He grows close to his maid and decides to find a way to remove the curse so that he can live with her normally.
Although the story for the anime may be promising, the one thing that potentially could hold it back is its 3D CG animation.
For those fans who do care about the visuals, this is pretty much a sure hit. It will be interesting to see how all the typical rom-com interactions will be executed, considering how an accidental touch could result in death.
Make sure to check this out for some rare rom-com antics between Alice and her master during this Summer 2021 season.
