Feige confirms the presence of Fantastic Four and X: Man in the MCU Phase IV

Marvel seems to be unstoppable. It has been ruling the live-action superhero movie genre and that doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon. At San Diego Comic-con 2019, there were some truly EPIC announcements to make even the least excited fan scream with joy.

The MCU is entering Phase 4 after giving us Avengers Endgame and Spiderman: Far From Home this year.

Kevin Feige ended his part by teasing us about the introduction of the Fantastic Four and X-men in the MCU. This was an eagerly awaited announcement after the deal between Fox and Marvel was confirmed.

Kevin Feige ended the panel discussion in ‘Hall H’ saying, “There is a lot of stuff we didn’t talk about. We didn’t mention the fact that we are making Black Panther 2. We didn’t mention that Guardians of Galaxy 3 is coming. I didn’t have time to talk about Captain Marvel 2. I don’t even have time for Fantastic Four, and there is no time left to talk about Mutants(X-men).”

People all over the world have been waiting for these mergers in the MCU with bated breath, and they are finally happening. The main challenge for the people at Marvel will be showing how they finally integrate these worlds, and maybe the introduction of the multiverse will simplify things.

What has happened so far?

A few decades ago, Marvel decided to sell a few of its main characters to avoid Bankruptcy. This led to Fox Studios getting the rights to The Fantastic Four and X-Men.

Things recently changed with the emergence of the MCU and how poorly the Fantastic Four and X-Men movies (atleast a few of them if not all… but thats a different debate) were executed. The failure led to a 71 billion dollar deal between Disney and Fox with Fox getting bought out. Now Marvel holds the rights to its characters once again and soon The Fantastic Four and X-Men are coming home.

What can we expect in the future?

Now with the deal final and Kevin Feige teasing the future of the MCU, we can expect the Fantastic Four and X-Men to appear in the MCU sooner rather than later.

There are already numerous titles lined up for release and the one thing is certain – the next few years are going to be a roller coaster for Marvel fans.
