Episode 5 of Farewell, My Dear Cramer is titled “lovesickness,” hinting that we might get to see some spark of romance between a member of the girls’ soccer team and the boys’ soccer team. It will be thrilling to see who.

The coach of the Boys’ soccer team declares that they will take over the girls’ field for practice just when girls’ team was about to start their practice for nationals. Though I don’t think coach Nao will let this happen.

Later in the episode, Sawa also started “Operation Cooking Warabis,” which will help girls build their stamina and power. Will they be able to manage all these tasks together?

3. Episode 4 Recap

Nozomi scores a goal against Kunogi’s team by using Marseille’s turn. But the first goal of Warabi’s team is waived off by a foul committed by Midori as she bumps into Kunogi’s goalkeeper.

However, Nozomi’s focus, her footwork and the Marseille’s technique she used, impresses both the coaches.

Nozomi’s first match in 18 months ends with a score of 21-0, with Kunogi’s team being declared as the winner.

Midori and Mao get in a verbal fight and are stopped by Chika from Urawa High school. Meanwhile, Warabi’s coach Nao interacts with Kunogi’s coach. He tells Nao that he is impressed by the spirit of Warabi girls and advice Nao to coach them well.

The following day at Warabi Seinan high school, Nozomi expresses her wish to practice with boys’ soccer team to her coach Gōro, to which he disagrees.

Sawa proposes “Operation Cooking Warabis” to her teammates to study nutritional science and consequently build their stamina to increase their speed during the match.

As they study nutritional science, Nao and other girls bring raw ingredients to the room, and the cooking competition starts.

Sawa and other girls try to give their cooked food to the boys’ soccer team, but they are interrupted by the boys’ soccer coach. He informs them that the boys’ soccer team will take over the girls’ field as well for practice.

Naoko buys new uniforms for the girls’ soccer team members. However, her custom-designed uniform does not impress girls’ team members. The episode ends here.

Naoshi Arakawa’s Farewell, My Dear Cramer is a manga about women’s association football. It is the main series to the prequel, Sayonara, Football.

The plot follows Nozomi Onda, as she goes to junior high school and faces even tougher challenges as a girl soccer player. Her rival, Midori offers her to join the same team. She meets other girls who are also equally talented at the sport.
