Druig, Lord of Flames and Nightmares is reportedly the villain in The Eternals

Druig, Lord of Flames and Nightmares is reported to be the villain in the Eternals movie. Druig will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film The Eternals, and will be played by Barry Keoghan.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to enter phase four and so far the Eternals seems like the most promising of the lot. The heroes are not famous, like the Avengers which gives the Eternals huge potential be explored and developed without the pressure of expectations.

The latest gossip about the movie is that the antagonist of Eternals or the bad guy so to speak will be Druig – Lord of Flames and Nightmares. Let’s go back to the start and cover some backstory. In the comics, a long time before the birth of the major heroes and modern Earth, a group of aliens called the Celestials created the Eternals, who were superhumans.

Eternals protected the Earth from their evil counterpart Deviants. There is no real news over the appearance of Deviants in the MCU, but we are sure that they are going to make their way soon. As per the news, Druig will work with the Deviants, slowly seeding his evil intentions with the Eternals and Humans.

Who is Druig, Lord of Flames and Nightmares?

The origin of his name is a bit sketchy but in comics, he is an Eternal with superhuman powers. He has the ability to manipulate matter and other forms of energy. He uses gravitons and also controls the mind (A little bit like Professor X).

Details beyond this are not confirmed, but we know that The Eternals has a big multi-star cast and a lot of potential. The Eternals is a crucial addition to the burgeoning MCU and I am sure few will miss this release on November 6, 2020.
