Isekai Ojisan, also known as ‘Uncle From Another World’, has had a rough run for a debut season. The anime just came out of a hiatus in November, and the final episode has also been delayed.
On Monday, the official website for the Isekai Ojisan anime announced that the upcoming thirteenth episode had been postponed. Instead, it would rebroadcast the twelfth episode on December 29.
According to the production staff, the delay is because of the rise in COVID-19 cases in China, leading to production issues. This decision was made to ensure that the quality is not affected.

Based on Hotondoshindeiru’s manga series, the anime first delayed its fifth episode, which eventually aired on August 17 instead of August 3, because of the increase in COVID-19 cases within the main studio.
After airing the seventh episode, the anime took a brief hiatus in September. They decided to rebroadcast again from the first episode on October 6 because of continued production issues in studios caused by increased COVID-19 cases.
As of now, the release date of Episode 13 has not been announced. However, it will be posted on the official website and Twitter. On the other hand, Episode 12 will re-air on December 29 on AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS 11, TV Aichi, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV.
Netflix has been streaming the series since its release on July 6. AtelierPontdarc is the main studio handling the production, with Shigeki Kawai directing the anime. Kenta Ihara is composing the series, and Kazuhiro Ota is designing the characters.

Isekai Ojisan is a manga series by Hotondo Shindeiru. It has been serialized in ComicWalker since 29th June 2018. An anime adaptation by AtelierPontdarc premiered in July 2022.
The manga focuses on Takafumi’s uncle who has been in a comatose state for 17 years but he suddenly wakes up one day and claims that for all this time, he was in an isekai world.
Now Takafumi has to live with an uncle who has magical powers but doesn’t know about the technological advancements of the last two decades.
