As the rumors around Ichinose reach new heights, she refuses to come to class for multiple days. However, Ichinose arrived for the exam results and met with Sakayanagi. As Sakayanagi threatens to reveal Ichinose’s crime, Ichinose tells it herself instead.

Being raised in a poor family with a single mother, Ichinose had few desires. However, the temptation to get her sister a birthday gift made Ichinose shoplift an expensive hair clip.

2. Episode 6 Speculation

Sakayanagi’s plans to force Ichinose’s expulsion have stopped after Nagumo’s interference. Since the student council has been facing backlash due to these rumors, Nagumo has to abandon this plan. However, this turn of events was orchestrated by Ayanokoji.

Sakayanagi knew that Ayanokoji would manipulate these events and just wanted to gain his recognition. Moreover, Sakayanagi will most likely act as Ayanokoji’s primary opponent for the rest of the series. Regardless, Ayanokoji uses Nagumo and Sakayanagi as pawns in his attempt to get Kushida expelled.

Horikita’s battle against Nagumo will continue as the story progresses, with Ayanokoji helping Horikita. Sakayanagi will most likely betray Nagumo in favor of Ayanokoji, bringing about yet another change in the student council.

Ibuki shouts at Hashimoto, accusing her of starting the rumors on Sakayanagi’s orders. The guys also start getting involved and nearly begin fighting. Luckily, Hashimoto and the others remain calm enough not to escalate the situation. After the test results, Ayanokoji hears that some Class-B members entered Class-A.

Sakayanagi says she has solid proof about some of the rumors about Ichinose. Ichinose approaches the front of the class and apologizes. Ichinose says that she has committed an unforgivable crime. Ichinose talks about her poor upbringing, where her sister and mom barely got by on multiple jobs.

Ichinose’s sister’s only desire was a fancy idol’s hair clip, and Ichinose stole it from the shop before anyone else could buy it. When Ichinose’s mother spotted the hair clip, she realized what had happened. Ichinose was forced to return it and apologize to the store, but she became severely depressed. 

In high school, Ichinose decided to make an attempt at a fresh start and regain the faith of her mother and sister. Sakayanagi says that no one will ever be able to alleviate the sin of shoplifting. Class B still has complete trust in Ichinose, and Sakayanagi scoffs.

Nagumo enters the class and says that spreading malicious rumors is now forbidden. Sakayanagi says that she will now stop her mission to get Ichinose expelled. Ayanokoji had talked with Ichinose in her house, forcing her to come to terms with her past.

Sakayanagi reveals that this entire plan was to lure Ayankoji out. Sakayangi proposes that they make a wager on the upcoming exams. Ayanokoji had used Kushida’s information to manipulate the student council. Through this incident, Ayanokoji has gotten closer to compel Kushida’s expulsion.

Originally, Classroom of the Elite was a light novel series written by Shogo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsake Tomose. Upon seeing its popularity, Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Alive began its serialization back in January 2016. The manga was illustrated by Yuyu Ichino.

Later on, in July 2017, Studio Lerche adapted the Light Novel series to an anime series that completed its first season.
