1. Release Date
Rascal does not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai Season 2 is yet to be announced. Season 1 and the movie covered 7 out of 10 volumes from the original light novel. We expect Season 2 to release by the end of 2022 or early 2023.
Only 3 volumes haven’t been adapted so, the anime creators will have to wait for at least 2 more volumes to be out soon.
Since the original source material isn’t enough for a new season, it might take a while for us to get another season of Bunny Girl Senpai.
2. What to Expect From Season 2
Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl (movie) was the last installment in the anime series, and it ended on volume 7 of the original light novel. There are 10 volumes in total, and the novel is still ongoing.
Season 2 of Bunny Girl Senpai will continue adapting the light novel volume 8 onwards. The story would improve Sakuta and Kaede’s sibling bond as Kaede finally overcomes her Puberty Syndrome.
Their mother, who was previously absent from their lives, would also return after Kaede regains her memory.
A younger version of Mai will appear, too, perhaps due to another Puberty Syndrome. Sakuta would travel to parallel timelines with young Mai to resolve his internal issues.
There is still a lot to unpack as the story of Sakuta and Mai isn’t over yet.
