New Promo Confirms ‘Bungo Stray Dogs’ Season 5 will Kick Off in July

Things don’t look great for the Armed Detective Agency as the fifth season of ‘Bungo Stray Dogs’ will further frame them as terrorists. Getting their names cleared has become a priority, but retrieving the page stolen by Decay of the Angel is just as important to prevent the worst.

This season will also catch up to the main manga and cover the two story arcs – ‘Kamui Revelation’ and ‘Vampire Infection Outbreak’.

On Thursday, Kadokawa released a second promotional video for ‘Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5’. The video features the opening song for the series and also reveals that the anime will premiere on July 12. Crunchyroll will officially stream the season.

The video primarily shows Ochi Fukuchi addressing different nations to create a counter-terrorist team. It also shows various battles between the Hunting Dogs and the Agency. A few scenes also show vampires, confirming that the current arc, ‘Vampire Infection Outbreak’ will be covered.

GRANRODEO has performed the opening song “Tetsu no Ori” (Iron Cell) in the background. The ending song was also revealed to be “Kiseki” (Trails), performed by Luck Life.

In the upcoming season, Atsushi and other members will continue to prove their innocence behind the coin bomb explosions and uncover Kamui, the leader of the Decay of the Angel terrorist group. It will also show Kamui commencing the fourth stage of his plan to enslave humanity.

Considering how the previous seasons ran for 12 or 13 episodes, we can expect the fifth season to have the same number of episodes.

Both the cast members and the main staff have returned from Season 4. The following staff members are working on the fifth season.

Season 5 will cover almost everything that is left in the canon manga, which is why the sixth season might not arrive soon enough. This does not mean that we won’t get to watch ‘Bungo Stray Dogs’ at all, as there are a few spin-offs that can be adapted after this.
