Season 5 was nothing less of a rollercoaster ride with the heroes and the villains training and improving their skills. Class 1A is about to finish their dramatic year, and their progress from the beginning till the end is very apparent.

Meanwhile, the villains have been preparing for a large-scale attack on the heroes. The inevitable war is at the doorstep now, and only one side will come out victorious.

The war I’m referring to is My Hero Academia season 6 that was confirmed recently by Weekly Shonen Jump’s latest issue. The magazine confirmed that the anime’s upcoming season is in production.

Season 6 is expected to release around March 2022 or April 2022, almost a year after season 5. More details will be revealed soon by the franchise.

The announcement illustrates Shigaraki and Deku with a line foreshadowing the Paranormal Liberation War arc that says, ‘The war between heroes and villains is approaching.’

The quote on Shigaraki’s side has a threatening aura and says, ‘I’ll destroy everything’ with Deku determinedly saying, ‘I’ll use everything I have to stop you.’

This season we got to see the growth of UA’s first years and the origin story of the Shigaraki Tomura. His past might have made you pity him, but please try to remember that he’s a mass murderer.

The villains owned season 5 wholly. Tomura enhancing his quirk resulting in mass destruction, Toga’s quirk being more than just copying others, and Twice getting past his trauma are just a few of them.

The upcoming season will have the newly formed Paranormal Liberation Army under Shigaraki as the main antagonist. This army was formed after the League of Villains defeated and overthrew Re-Destro, declaring Shigaraki as the new leader.

Many old foes will be making a comeback in this arc, filled with revenge and hate for Deku and All Might. To be honest, brace yourselves because this is going to be one harrowing storyline to get through.

As much as I am excited about it, being a manga reader has its cons, and there are some scenes I cannot see in anime without crying.

Season 6 is going to be thrilling, heart-wrenching, and full of action. You better prepare yourselves for the upcoming scenes you’re not ready for.
