Tite Kubo’s BLEACH got its fans over the moon when they announced that the anime would return for the final arc. BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War topped the charts right away when the first episode was released. The anime plans to end its first cour with a bang.
On December 17, at Jump Festa 2023, the panel for BLEACH unveiled a key visual which mentioned the release dates of the remaining episodes. While Episode 11 was recently out, Episodes 12 and 13 will be released together as a one-hour special.
The official Twitter for VIZ Media has also confirmed that the one-hour special would release on December 26 on Hulu at 8:00 AM PT.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War would cover the final chapters of the series and is planned for four cours, each containing 13 episodes. The first cour began on October 10 and aired on TV Tokyo and its associated networks. Hulu and Disney+ stream the series outside of Japan.
Studio Pierrot has produced the new series, with Tomohisa Taguchi as the director. Masashi Kudo and Shiro Sagisu returned for designing the characters and composing the music respectively.
About Bleach
Bleach is a Japanese anime television series based on Tite Kubo’s manga of the same name. The anime series adapts Kubo’s manga but also introduces some new, original, self-contained story arcs.
It is based in Karakura Town on a 15-year-old high school student Ichigo Kurosaki who becomes a substitute Soul Reaper when Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper, puts Soul Reaper powers in Ichigo. They barely manage to kill the hollow.
Although initially reluctant to accept the heavy responsibility, he begins eliminating some more hollows and also discovers that several of his friends and classmates are spiritually aware and have powers of their own.
