2. Bleach: Thousand-year Blood War Plot [Manga Spoilers]

Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War starts with the 12th division discovering that Hollows are suddenly disappearing in large groups. Two days after this incident, a strange man suddenly appears on Ichigo’s bed and introduces himself as Asguiaro Ebern. Ichigo asked him to get off his bed but he didn’t move.

Ichigo then kicks him through the window and gets in his Shinigami form. Ichigo asks him if he is an Arrancar, which in turn makes Ebern furious and he summons a Spirit Weapon.

Meanwhile, in Soul Society, in the 1st Division barracks, as Yamamoto is being given a report from the other divisions, he is confronted by several masked men who have come to declare war.

As Ichigo fights Ebern, he wonders why Ebern is using a Quincy Cross and has a medallion. On the other hand, in Soul Society, one of the masked men declares that the Wandenreich will destroy Soul Society in five days.

Who Is Wandenreich?

1,000 years ago, Shinigamis and Quincys fought a furious war which the Quincys lost. They then escaped from the Human World and hid in Seireitei.

They used Reishi to create space in shadows, called the Wandenreich, the “Invisible Empire”. They hid and waited for 1,000 years while collecting the abundant Reishi to reclaim their powers.

After the defeat of Sōsuke Aizen, Wandenreich conquered Hueco Mundo and captured Tier Harribel.

6. Retro Ryno’s version of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War

Retro Ryno (also known as Ryan White), like many fans, was disappointed at the franchise for not animating the last arc of Bleach.

Later, Retro Ryno and his friends planned to animate this last arc independently, that too without any professional help. They released their first episode on 15/11/2018, on Retro Ryno’s youtube channel.

Retro Ryno first announced his intentions of animating Bleach’s latest arc on August 27th, 2016, in his youtube video: ‘MAKING BLEACH ALTERNATE ENDING/SERIES’.

MAKING BLEACH ALTERNATE ENDING/SERIES

“Hey guys, so I’ll try to make this video really quick and simple. I’m creating an alternate ending/continuation to Bleach. I was really left unhappy with how the manga ended and how it had to be rushed and I’m also upset with how many things were forgotten about. As much as I loved Bleach, there was a lot of wasted potential, but that’s not what’s important anymore. What is important is that a different last arc is on the way, alongside some other things I have planned.”

7. About Bleach

Bleach is a Japanese anime television series based on Tite Kubo’s manga of the same name. The anime series adapts Kubo’s manga but also introduces some new, original, self-contained story arcs.

It is based in Karakura Town on a 15-year-old high school student Ichigo Kurosaki who becomes a substitute Soul Reaper when Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper, put Soul Reaper powers in Ichigo and they barely managed to kill the hollow.

Although initially reluctant to accept the heavy responsibility, he begins eliminating some more hollows and also discovers that several of his friends and classmates are spiritually aware and have powers of their own.
