A good plot and good animation with a steady stream of episodes. What else do we need to be honest?

For the past few weeks, Black Clover anime is rearing up for the six months training arc. The time skip that is portrayed in the manga is featured as filler episodes in the anime.

Black Clover has just introduced a brand new original arc in the anime.

The arc is nowhere to be found in the manga. The original arc debuted with episode 142 of Black Clover on 8th September.

As already mentioned, Black Clover is released weekly and not in seasons. Thus, the anime has almost caught on to the ongoing arc of the manga.

Tabata, the manga’s author, doesn’t want the anime to feature the latest arc yet. However, the filler episodes and the original arc will provide some gap for Tabata to neatly finish his manga.

Anime Original Arc

This episode marks the start of the original arc where the new characters Bou Nokude and Dazu Tayak are introduced.

Bou and Dazu find out that Asta is possessed by a devil. They hold him and Secre responsible for an attack on the Tiulyu Town.

When the trial of Asta is delayed, Bou and Dazu get angry and start recruiting people who want to get rid of devils.

They call their group the Devil Banishers. They attack the Black Bulls base to capture Asta and Secre. However, due to Noelle’s interruption, they only manage to take Secre.

Recently, rumors about the Black Clover anime getting canceled after 2020 have been surfacing.

Apparently, the animation staff has moved on to other projects, and Tabata himself is disappointed in the staff.

Yuki Tabata has had some disagreement with the anime staff due to them having excessive freedom with the anime. Some characters had exhibited powers which they shouldn’t have possessed in the specific timeline.

Reportedly, Tabata himself is getting directly involved with the original arc. He is keeping in contact with the director for every episode.

Who will these Devil Banishers target next? When will we get to the next manga arc? We’ll have to stay glued to the anime for the answers to these questions.
