Black Clover Anime Episode 171: Release Date, Speculations, Upcoming Movie and More!

Black Clover’s episode 170 ended in the most Asta-like way possible and left us wondering if we will ever get episode 171.

Of course, instead of enslaving his devil, Asta would end up befriending it! With a single move, he proved to both Nacht and Liebe how much of a kind-hearted and dumb bloke he actually is.

Before we move on to the actual matter, can we please talk about the Anti Magic devil’s chibi form? Just look how cute he was before he was consumed by hatred! The episode also sheds light on Asta’s mother and why she had to abandon him.

The Spade Kingdom Invasion arc will be adapted next, and I cannot wait for Nacht’s full-power state and Asta and Liebe’s combined form!

Episode 171 Discussions and Predictions

Black Clover’s episode 170 ended at a perfect point. Just after Asta had befriended Liebe, Nach reveals that an even more brutal training regime awaits him in the next two days. Asta has just completed the Devil-Binding ritual, but they have a long way to go before they can reach the optimal fighting style.

The next arc will show us Asta and Liebe’s combined form. The Tree of Qliphoth will let out devils who are far more powerful than the Dark Triad. All the Magic Knights will be in a collective dilemma as they fight with their everything.

Episode 171 Release Date

Episode 171 has not been announced, and 170 was the final episode. An anime movie has been announced, and it might serve as the concluding part of the series.

Episode 170 Recap

The episode started with Liebe recollecting his arrival on Earth. He recounts that the Underworld is a merciless place where the strong hunt on the weak. Weaker devils are tortured just for fun.

Since he had no magic, he was the weakest of them all and was flung into the Magic Knights’ kingdom. Even there, he was hunted by humans and was eventually rescued by Licita, Asta’s mother.

He lived with her until Lucifero killed her. Licita bound him with the Five Leaf Grimoire to save him. Liebe grew up while he was stuck there and started to hate demons to the point that he attained anti-magic.

Back to the present, Asta defeats Liebe and binds him through the “devil-befriending ritual.” Both Nacht and Liebe admit that Asta is an idiot.

On the other hand, Yuno and Noelle’s team are also seen training. Two days may not be much, but you will be surprised by the progress they will make.

Will Black Clover Anime Return?

The manga is still continuing with the Spade Kingdom battle arc, and the upcoming movie will cover it. Until the manga creates enough material, it will be hard for the anime to adapt the series again.

However, the ongoing arc is already announced to be the last one. Unless Yuki Tabata comes up with a sequel series or spinoff chapters, the anime will not be able to resume.

The series might continue with the emergence of an even more powerful enemy or conclude after the current arc. The odds are not in our favor!

Black Clover Upcoming Movie

Black Clover will be receiving an anime movie that will adapt the rest of the final arc. Fans were worried about the series just ending suddenly. However, they are pleasantly surprised by the film adaptation decision.

It will be an elaborate movie and will adapt every little detail of the ongoing arc! The film is likely to release in Winter 2022.
