A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! Anime Reveals Teaser Visual, Main Cast and Release Window

The anime adaptation of the supernatural comedy series A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! has revealed new details, including an October 2024 release date, a teaser visual, and information about the production staff.

Picture a crybaby and timid novice teacher, Abe Haruaki, who has been appointed to teach in a school full of youkai! The story unveils the bizarre and fascinating daily lives of a cowardly human teacher and his youkai students, offering a one-of-a-kind and captivating premise.

The anime stars Ryota Ohsaka (Maou from The Devil is a Part-Timer) as the protagonist, bringing life to the rookie teacher Haruaki Abe. Under the direction of Katsumi Ono (Known for Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, Skeleton Knight in Another World, and Beast Saga), the anime at Satelight is in good hands. Deko Akao (Anonymous Noise, B-PROJECT, Noragami) is in charge of series scripts, and Natsuki designs the characters, ensuring a high-quality production.

Translation: “I’ve Become a Teacher at a Yokai School!” to be broadcast in October. The role of Abe no Seimei, a novice teacher, will be played by Ryota Osaka.

From the 4th, one cast member will be announced each day.

With the character design by Sudako Ehime, Baku Hamaguchi, and Mariko Ito and Yokai designs by Hiroyuki Taiga, the anime adaptation is set to be a visual feast. Yuri Matsuda from Studio Naya is the art director for the anime adaptation, and Ryoko Kaneshige is in charge of editing. Takahiro Fujimoto is the sound director, with Takahiro Inafuku working on music and Kappa Entertainment in charge of music direction.

Yen Press is releasing the manga in English, and Manga UP! Global is releasing the manga digitally. Yen Press describes the manga:

Rookie teacher Haruaki Abe is as cowardly as they come. It’s hard enough for him to handle human students without whimpering-and now he’s going to teach at a school full of monsters?! It’s a classroom of horrors for Haruaki, as his mischievous students use every means at their disposal to prank him! Will this poor teacher be able to get his group of ghouls under control, or is this class destined for failure?

Tanaka began serializing the school comedy manga in Monthly GFantasy magazine in November 2014. Square Enix shipped the 15th volume on June 27, 2023, and the 16th was released on December 27, 2023.
