Summary:

  • Atom will allow players to create custom maps using a variety of LEGO collections, and the maps can be monetized as per reports.

Epic Games has Fortnite as one of its biggest IPs. However, quite counterintuitively, Lego Fortnite had taken over its parent Fortnite in terms of concurrent players.

Reputed Fortnite leaker HYPEX has revealed that Epic Games is gearing up for the imminent release of the vast LEGO X UEFN update. UEFN stands for Unreal Engine for Fortnite, named Atom, which would allow players to access new LEGO sets, including Action figures, Duplo, and Technic.

The most exciting thing is that players can build custom LEGO worlds inside Fortnite. This will help realize the dreams of millions of players who might have wanted as kids to live the LEGO life of their dreams.

The worlds can be built using existing pieces and custom-imported ones. HYPEX has also added that players will be initially starting out with a variety of knobs, pins, and tubes.

Using these elements, they can customize their favorite LEGO Fortnite Skins in the mode. One of the most lucrative things about this feature, as revealed by HYPEX, is that the creators can monetize the maps that they create.

Of course, the monetization will be subject to specific criteria, and the specifics are yet to be revealed. The recent update has introduced fishing in Lego Fortnite with the introduction of a Fishing Rod.

Four rarities can be crafted, and catches can be pulled in better using a higher-rarity Fishing Rod. The levels are Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Epic, each craftable at a progressively higher Crafting Bench.

Fishing rods are not enough to catch fish. The developers have introduced 15 fish species that will be visible to the player based on the biome, water, weather, and time of the day they are fishing.

There are four levels of baits as well to lure in the fish. Along with these changes are bug fixes and improvements to the game’s physics. Until the official announcement, players can enjoy fishing in LEGO Fortnite.
